Pre Entry Draw
Lost and Forgotten Angels
Barrel Racing Association of Texas is hosting the fourth point show of this season this Sunday – November 15th at Cleburne Indoor Arena. This race is BBR APPROVED as well as ABRA Approved. Books will open at 9:00 AM; exhibitions at 10:00 AM. The 15 & Under Youth 3D will run at 2:00 PM followed by the $100 added Open 5D. Top 3 prizes will be awarded in each D including breast collars, some fancy spur straps designed by our own Kim Shubrook and haybags for 3rd. Exhibitions do fill up very fast so come early and sorry – we can’t take call-ins. As always, non-members are very welcome!
Once again I’ll attach the entry form – don’t forget to fill in all the blanks when entering including whether you’re a member or not, your point horse, whether you nominated for awards, etc. If you are a member of BBR please put your BBR number at the top as well. If you have your form already filled out it can make things go faster at the sign-up table enabling more time on your horse instead of standing in line!
The draw for this Sunday is attached. If you pre-entered please check all the information listed on the draw. If you see something incorrect or questionable please come see us in the office on Sunday and we’ll get it fixed up. If there is a “see office” by your name please come see us; there is just some things we need to get cleared up on the entry form. We want to get everything posted correct for everybody.
Sending out another reminder on our 5D jackpot buckle series we’ve started at Four Horse Arena in Burleson. The first week we had 33 in the class and look forward to more this Thursday. We will be running again in the Indoor Pen tonight; exhibitions at 6:30 and the class runs at 8:30. They’ve added new dirt since last week. In order to receive awards you must attend 3 of the 4 jackpots so it’s not too late to get qualified! This is a non-point show. For more information on this location and directions please visit fourhorsearena.com.
It’s also about that time of year we always start thinking about SPONSORS! We have all different packages we can offer a potential sponsor! Saddle sponsors, buckle sponsors, jacket sponsors, barrel cover sponsors…you name it! We can get something worked up! Please get in touch with one of the directors if there is something in mind. Don’t forget we offer a BRAT BOUNTY in which the person acquiring the sponsor receives some bonus cash!
Looking forward to our December jackpots! The first one in December is Saturday, December 5th at Glen Rose Expo! This is our Annual Lost & Forgotten Angels jackpot where we will be awarding Cunningham Buckles to the winners of each D in the Open and Youth. We are asking racers to bring an unwrapped toy or any sort of donation. This race has always been a huge success. Vendors are welcome and spots are available. Please call Becky for information regarding the vendor spaces! We’re also planning on hosting a silent auction for the program. We have several items lined up. If you have anything to donate for this cause please let us know and bring it to the race! The next weekend, December 13th, we will move over to the awesome facility over at Diamond W in Alvarado!
BRAT was recently contacted by a casting agency looking for young ladies 12-16 years old for a neat opportunity! Looking for a lead in the new Coen Bros film “True Grit” which begins shooting in the Spring of 2010. Open casting call this Saturday at Billy’s Bob’s! I’ve attached the flyer on this so y’all can check it out if you know of someone.
Also, wanted to let everybody know that BRAT has got us some hoodies to wear for the winter months! So be on the lookout for the latest BRAT GEAR! We’ll have them at all our upcoming jackpots.
Look forward to seeing everybody this weekend!
