Howdy,

I hope everyone is having a Grrrrreat summer, I also wish all of you the best of luck every where you go between now and when I see all of you at our State Finals in August.

Well we had a really good barrel race in Belton with a total of 181 runs in all our classes.  We also did very well on our silent auction; we made $318.00 on it.  Thanks! To all of you who brought auction items and also a Great big thank you, to those of you who purchased them.  I also want to thank those of you who remembered your buckets, if you didn’t remember your bucket; you can bring them to me at State or the next Barrel Race.

Ok!  Now let’s talk about the State Finals.  The finals will be held August 7^th-10^th in Waco TX.   Entries most be postmarked by July 21^st, or you can enter online through Equivent on http://www.ebarrelracing.com/.  All vet out/doctor releases by July 28^th, minus 20% office fees.  As most of you NBHA TX 24 won the spirit contest and stall contest last year.  We would like to do it again this year.  I sent the e-mail regarding T-shirt orders, if you didn’t receive it or haven’t ordered, please do so as soon as possible.  My self and a few volunteers(we can use all the help we can get) will take care of decorating the stands, and the basic cover on the stalls, but if you want your stalls done, you’re going to have to pitch in help.  Thanks! To all the people who helped last year or we would have never won last year.  But we can’t expect the same people to be responsible for the stands and stalls every year, so please if you can help let me know.  For all you inquiring minds on our theme, I will be sending you an e-mail about that.  If you have any questions please feel free to call or e-mail me anytime.

Now!  Our next barrel race will be Labor Day Week-end on August 30^th and 31^st.  We will be giving average awards to 1^st in each division of each class.  You must attend both days to be eligible.  You need not be a member for 2-day average awards.  If you haven’t noticed all of our classes and divisions are a pretty close race with the exception of a couple.  It looks like it’s going to be like last year and come down to the finals if keeps on this way, but wow!  How exciting, this makes for really good barrel racing.

I’ll see all of you at state if not before then, I’ll be giving ya’ll updates as I get them in regard to the State Finals, if any of you aren’t receiving the e-mails, please let me know so I can fix the problem.
