More than 2,100 people toured the museum on opening day in Amarillo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was rewarding to see so many people attend the grand re-opening,\u201d said AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer. \u201cWe are excited to have the newly renovated Hall of Fame &amp; Museum open for people to experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Visitors to the museum were able to experience the American Quarter Horse like never before. From the soaring stone pillars of the Grand Hall to the highly interactive Education Gallery, guests learned about America\u2019s Horse and the people and horses who have influenced the world\u2019s most popular breed.<\/p>\n<p>The Hall of Fame &amp; Museum provided free admission Saturday. In addition, there were two book signings and a junior ranch rodeo for the kids. Free sausage wraps were served for lunch, and Two Bits made a special appearance.<\/p>\n<p>The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame &amp; Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. (Memorial Day through Labor Day). Admission is $4 for adults and $2.50 for children.
