{"id":1188,"date":"2007-09-14T10:37:27","date_gmt":"2007-09-14T03:37:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ebarrelracing.com\/articles\/?p=1188"},"modified":"2007-09-14T10:37:27","modified_gmt":"2007-09-14T03:37:27","slug":"silver-gold-cup-date-venue-changes-slated-for-2008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ebarrelracing.com\/articles\/industry\/silver-gold-cup-date-venue-changes-slated-for-2008\/","title":{"rendered":"Silver &#038; Gold Cup Date &#038; Venue Changes slated for 2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Silver &amp; Gold Cup Barrel Futurity Date &amp; Venue Changes Slated for 2008<br \/>\nNorman, OK \u2013 After much consideration, XL Enterprises, LLC, owner of the Silver &amp; Gold Cup Barrel Futurities, has booked new dates and venues for their two events.\u00a0 The Hardy Murphy Coliseum in Ardmore, Oklahoma will be the new home of the Silver Cup, which will run March 5-9, 2008.\u00a0 The Gold Cup will be returning to the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center in Shawnee, OK, which was the original venue of the Silver &amp; Gold Cup, and running April 15-19, 2008, the week prior to the B.B.R. World Finals.<\/p>\n<p>According to Robin Hofmann, she was put in a position where moving the Silver Cup to a new date and location became a necessity.\u00a0 After a full day of research, discovery &amp; discussion, Pat and I made the decision to move both barrel races.\u00a0 \u201cI am the eternal optimist and always looking on the bright side\u2026what\u2019s that saying\u2026when life hands you a basket full of lemons, make lemonade?
