(AP) &#8212; Animal caretakers seeking a ban on some Mexican rodeo events say they can cause serious injury to horses and steer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tradition should never take precedence over the welfare of animals,&#8221; veterinarian Steve White told the Omaha City Council on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The council was considering a ban on some rodeo events, after the Nebraska Human Society called for their prohibition.
