{"id":1311,"date":"2007-12-21T21:18:21","date_gmt":"2007-12-21T14:18:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ebarrelracing.com\/articles\/?p=1311"},"modified":"2007-12-21T21:18:21","modified_gmt":"2007-12-21T14:18:21","slug":"aqh-rewarded-for-wrangler-nfr-performances","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ebarrelracing.com\/articles\/industry\/aqh-rewarded-for-wrangler-nfr-performances\/","title":{"rendered":"AQH Rewarded for Wrangler NFR Performances"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>America\u2019s Horse, December 20, 2007 <\/em>\u2013 The dust has settled at Las Vegas\u2019 Thomas &amp; Mack Center from the 49th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, and the fans\u2019 votes are counted for the Fort Dodge Champion American Quarter Horses of the WNFR.<\/p>\n<p>American Quarter Horses carry the hopes and dreams of Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association cowboys and cowgirls in the rodeo arena, and American Quarter Horse Association\u2019s Corporate Partner Fort Dodge rewarded the owners and riders of American Quarter Horses at this year\u2019s WNFR with a unique, fan-voted contest. The program recognizes American Quarter Horses and the competitors who rode them at this year\u2019s WNFR. Fort Dodge Animal Health is providing $2,500 prize money to the winning horse\u2019s owner and $2,500 to the competitor.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Fort Dodge Champion American Quarter Horses of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo are:<\/p>\n<p>Steer Wrestling \u2013 Redigo Roman and Jule Hazen<br \/>\nTeam Roping (Heading) \u2013 Lite My Dynamite and Trevor Brazile<br \/>\nTeam Roping (Heeling) \u2013 Freckels Taz and Allen Bach<br \/>\nTie-Down Roping \u2013 Hickoryote Sue and Stran Smith<br \/>\nBarrel Racing \u2013 Andele Cowboy and Maegan Reichert<\/p>\n<p>Cliff and Chad Van Campen own Redigo Roman and will receive a $2,500 check from Fort Dodge Animal Health, and Freckles Taz is owned by Kinney Harrell, who also will receive $2,500. The other winning horses are owned by their riders, who will receive a $5,000 check from Fort Dodge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerican Quarter Horses competing in professional rodeo events are great ambassadors of our breed,\u201d AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer said. \u201cThese Fort Dodge Champion American Quarter Horses display speed, agility and poise while competing at a high-energy event.
