This commitment continues in 2008, as AQHA moves its weekly television programming endeavors to RFD-TV, beginning January 2. \u201cAQHA Presents . . .\u201d will feature a combination of entertaining and informative shows with the industry\u2019s top trainers, along with classic episodes of past AQHA television programming and competitions from AQHA and its alliance partners\u2019 championship events.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very excited to showcase the American Quarter Horse lifestyle on RFD-TV because so many AQHA members have satellites and can easily access this growing network,\u201d said Bill Brewer, AQHA Executive Vice President. \u201cThis is a tremendous opportunity to also reach the growing segment of people moving to rural areas to pursue their dream of land ownership, and the western and rural lifestyle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAQHA Presents . . .\u201d airs three times weekly \u2013 Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern and Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. Eastern. Featured in 2008 will be \u201cAQHA Team Wrangler Presents\u201d \u2013 a series of educational and entertaining shows featuring top AQHA Professional Horsemen and Horsewomen, all members of the highly popular AQHA Team Wrangler program. Episodes include:<\/p>\n<p>* \u201cWhat\u2019s it like to . . .\u201d where Team Wrangler members give a<br \/>\none-on-one lesson from their discipline, such as cutting or<br \/>\nroping, to a member of the AQHA publications staff__<br \/>\n* \u201cTrading Saddles\u201d where Team Wrangler members trade places with<br \/>\nanother member of a different discipline \u2013 halter and speed event,<br \/>\nwestern and English__<br \/>\n* In addition, winners of online contests hosted on AQHA\u2019s Web site,<br \/>\n<em><a href=\"http:\/\/aqha.com\">aqha.com<\/a><\/em>, will have Team Wrangler members help with horse issues<br \/>\nin \u201cFix My Horse,\u201d prepping a horse for sale in \u201cSell My Horse,\u201d<br \/>\nand a lucky youth will get guidance in \u201cMakeover My Horse.\u201d __<\/p>\n<p>Viewers will be treated to \u201cBest of AQHA Events\u201d drawn from the long-running \u201cAmerica\u2019s Horse\u201d series that began in 1986. Emphasis for the episodes will be on record-setting performances, many featuring American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame inductees such as Rugged Lark winning his two Superhorse titles at the AQHA World Championship Show; Jack Brooks winning his fifth, sixth and seventh All American futurities; Dash For Cash winning the Champion of Champions; early National Cutting Horse Association and National Reining Horse Association Futurity and Derby winning runs; trips to Best Remuda Award-winning ranches; and much more.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the year will be coverage of AQHA\u2019s World Championship events including the Ford AQHYA World Championship Show, Bayer Select, Bank of America Amateur and FedEx Open AQHA World Championship Shows, and Fort Dodge Versatility Ranch Horse World Championship Show, along with major events produced by AQHA Alliance Partners NCHA, NRHA and National Reined Cow Horse Association.<\/p>\n<p>Sponsors Bank of America, Bayer, B&amp;W Trailer Hitches, FedEx, Ford, Fort Dodge, John Deere, Professional\u2019s Choice, Sidran and Tractor Supply will be bringing all the action to viewers.<\/p>\n<p>RFD can be found on satellite systems Dish (Channel 231) and DirectTV (Channel 379), as well as several cable systems including Mediacom Cable and NCTC Cable Systems.
