{"id":146,"date":"2005-09-02T05:21:27","date_gmt":"2005-09-01T22:21:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ebarrelracing.com\/articles\/?p=146"},"modified":"2005-09-02T05:23:15","modified_gmt":"2005-09-01T22:23:15","slug":"region-2-experience-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ebarrelracing.com\/articles\/industry\/region-2-experience-postponed\/","title":{"rendered":"Region 2 Experience Postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Amarillo, Texas, September 1, 2005 <\/em>\u00e2\u20ac\u201c The American Quarter Horse Association, working with its affiliates in South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, Wyoming, Alberta and Saskatchewan, announced today that the Region Two Experience scheduled for September 29-October 2, 2005, at the Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City, South Dakota, has been postponed until spring of 2006.<\/p>\n<p>The Region Two Experience Committee met via conference call on August 31 to discuss the Experience and how it has been affected by vesicular stomatitis cases reported in the northern United States. For these reasons and AQHA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s continued concern for the safety and welfare of the American Quarter Horse, the decision was made to postpone the Experience.<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Our first and foremost priority is always the American Quarter Horses that compete in AQHA events,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We feel that the committee made the correct decision in this situation.
