America<\/span><\/em><\/span>\u2019s Horse, July 30, 2008<\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 The American Quarter Horse Foundation is proud to announce the 2008\u00a0America\u2019s Horse Cares grant recipients.\u00a0America\u2019s Horse Cares is a program of the Foundation that funds therapeutic riding centers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In order to receive funding through America\u2019s Horse Cares, the center must be certified as a North American Riding for the Handicapped Association-approved facility or have at least one NARHA certified instructor on staff.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Each applicant center is scored based upon their financial need, services available, horse care, project scope and budget.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>The centers receiving funding were selected from 130 applicants by a group of experienced selection committee members.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

American Quarter Horse Association Corporate Partner Farnam is a large supporter of\u00a0America\u2019s Horse Cares. Farnam is the official grooming and conditioning product supplier and official dewormer supplier\u00a0of AQHA.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very pleased to partner with Farnam to give these great therapeutic riding centers a leg up to help those with disabilities,\u201d said Gary Carpenter, Executive Director of the American Quarter Horse Foundation. \u201cOur horses give their best every day at these centers and we\u2019re happy to help facilitate these services.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
