{"id":181,"date":"2005-10-18T00:59:37","date_gmt":"2005-10-17T17:59:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ebarrelracing.com\/articles\/?p=181"},"modified":"2005-10-18T01:01:07","modified_gmt":"2005-10-17T18:01:07","slug":"living-legends-make-aqha-world-show-appearance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ebarrelracing.com\/articles\/industry\/living-legends-make-aqha-world-show-appearance\/","title":{"rendered":"Living Legends Make AQHA World Show Appearance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amarillo, Texas, October 17, 2005 \u00e2\u20ac\u201cThe 2005 American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show will feature a special Superhorse Alley and Showcase November 17-19 to commemorate the show\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 30th year in Oklahoma City.<\/p>\n<p>Twelve past Superhorses will be on display in Barn 1 including Reprise Bar, the oldest living Superhorse who won the award in 1984 and Acadamosby Award, the only three-time Superhorse winner with wins in 1998, 2000 and 2001. A special showcase for these living legends will take place Friday night, November 18, after the junior cutting finals just prior to the Ford Truck giveaway.<\/p>\n<p> \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I feel this showcase is an important part of AQHA World Show history,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer.  \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Superhorse Award is likened to an MVP award and these athletes demonstrate the versatility of the American Quarter Horse.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/p>\n<p>Each year at the World Show, one horse is awarded the coveted Superhorse title.  The Superhorse is the top open point-earning horse in a minimum of three events in two categories at the AQHA World Show.<\/p>\n<p> The winner of this prestigious award will receive a new three-horse trailer courtesy of Sooner Trailer valued at more than $27,000, a specially designed Lisa Perry bronze, a Weatherbeeta embroidered fusion contour western blanket and a rose bouquet.<\/p>\n<p>The following horses will be in attendance:<\/p>\n<p>Real Gun \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 2004                                              Another Valentino &#8211; 1996<br \/>\nMovin Artfully \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 2003                                      Genuine Redbud &#8211; 1995<br \/>\nPopular Resortfigure \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 2002                             Tuckers Vaquero &#8211; 1994<br \/>\nAcadamosby Award \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 2001, 2000, 1998         The Lark Ascending &#8211; 1991<br \/>\nLook Whos Larkin \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 1999                               Time To Cash In &#8211; 1989<br \/>\nTostada Tucker \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 1997                                    Reprise Bar &#8211; 1984<\/p>\n<p>Those Superhorses that are deceased or unable to attend will be recognized with photos in a separate area near Superhorse Alley, as well as in a special video tribute.<\/p>\n<p>The AQHA World Show will be held November 5-19 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.
