That\u2019s also the site allowing AQHA members to win a trip to QuarterFest: A Celebration of the American Quarter Horse. This one-of-a-kind event, May 1-3 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, will be a chance to ride, touch, observe and learn how to care for your American Quarter Horse.<\/span><\/p>\n QuarterFest is going to be at the\u00a0Tennessee\u00a0Miller\u00a0Equestrian\u00a0Center\u00a0at\u00a0Middle\u00a0Tennessee\u00a0State\u00a0University\u00a0in\u00a0Murfreesboro,\u00a0Tennessee\u00a0(see the facility at\u00a0www.aqha.com\/quarterfest<\/span><\/a><\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe see this as a great way to kick off the summer riding season,\u201d said Tom Persechino, AQHA executive director of marketing and communications. \u201cWe\u2019re looking at offering trail trial competitions and American Quarter Horse test rides.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n There will be clinics all weekend long with four of AQHA\u2019s Professional Horsemen: Curt Pate, and his wife Tammy of\u00a0Newell,\u00a0South Dakota; Jeff Griffith ofGallatin\u00a0Gateway,\u00a0Montana; and Julie Goodnight of\u00a0Salida,\u00a0Colorado. You can bring your horse and participate.<\/span><\/p>\n An exciting performance will take place each afternoon, and an all-star American Quarter Horse Extravaganza will take place Friday and Saturday nights.<\/span><\/p>\n Seminars, demonstrations, contests and a dedicated youth area will provide fun and education for horse people of all ages. Some of the greatest American Quarter Horses and world champion horsemen and women will be there to greet everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>And perhaps most importantly, AQHA will be kicking off its new conservation division. Taking an active role in preserving access to places to ride, upholding the traditions of horse ownership and enjoyment in America, and educating horsemen on building, preserving and behaving properly on trails is critical to our breed and members.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>The conservation section will give our members the industry leadership expected from AQHA in this crucial area.<\/span><\/p>\n Come to learn.
