America<\/span><\/em><\/span>\u2019s Horse, March 11, 2009 \u2013<\/span><\/em> The newest member of the American Quarter Horse Association Executive Committee is <\/span><\/span>Gene Graves of\u00a0Grand Island,\u00a0Nebraska.<\/span><\/p>\n Graves was elected to the Executive Committee during the Association\u2019s board of directors\u2019 luncheon on Monday, March 9, in\u00a0San Antonio. A director from\u00a0Nebraska,\u00a0Graves\u00a0has served on numerous committees and was most recently vice chairman of the nominations and credentials committee.<\/span><\/p>\n A 1959 graduate of\u00a0Midland\u00a0College, and a 1969 master\u2019s of science graduate of the University of Nebraska-Kearney,\u00a0Graves\u00a0is the retired president of Bosselman Inc. and ranches full time under the ranch name Diamond G Enterprises LLC. He is a member of Rotary International; Nebraska Diplomats; and Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse, Kansas Quarter Horse, Texas Quarter Horse, Nebraska Thoroughbred Breeders and the National Snaffle Bit associations.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Gene\u2019s wife, Barbara,<\/span><\/span> shows in western riding, showmanship, halter, western pleasure and western horsemanship. Barbara also was featured in the American Quarter Horse Foundation\u2019s \u201cOne Donor\u201d advertising campaign.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
