America<\/span><\/em><\/span>\u2019s Horse, March 25, 2009 \u2013 <\/span><\/em><\/span>Dust off the winter cobwebs and join us for an AQHA\u00a0trail ride through the beautiful <\/span>Cedars of Lebanon State Park<\/span><\/span><\/a> in\u00a0Lebanon,\u00a0Tennessee, on May 2. If you’re already attending\u00a0QuarterFest, May 1-3, meet us at\u00a0the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in\u00a0Murfreesboro,\u00a0Tennessee, to drive to the park with our guides.\u00a0If you’re\u00a0just planning\u00a0to come\u00a0for the ride on Saturday, you can meet the group at the trailhead.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n All riders who sign up in advance\u00a0will receive a\u00a0box lunch the day of the ride. The cost of the ride is $20. The trail ride will take most of the day, and a team of\u00a0local experts from the park will share the park\u2019s history and\u00a0lead other horse activities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The park contains 900 acres that are used for intensive recreation. An additional 8,100 acres are operated by the Parks Division as a natural area and by the Forestry Division as a\u00a0State\u00a0Forest.<\/span> <\/span>The park offers 12.5 miles of marked trails for horseback riding. Hundreds of miles of forestry fire trails are also available for exploring. A current negative Coggins certificate is required for all horses entering the park.
