Youth from around the world to compete July 31 \u2013 August 8 in\u00a0Oklahoma City.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The American Quarter Horse Journal, June 6, 2009<\/span><\/em> \u2013 The theme for the 2009 Ford AQHYA World Championship Show is \u201cRock Your World,\u201d and more than 1,500 youth exhibitors have already qualified to compete. National qualifying ended April 30.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are still opportunities for American Quarter Horse Youth Association members to be part of the excitement in\u00a0Oklahoma City. Each affiliate can send four entries per class to compete at the Ford Youth World. Contact your state affiliate for more information. State youth advisers are listed at <\/span><\/span><\/span>www.aqha.com\/youth\/affiliates\/affiliateadviser.html<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Last year, Morgan Holmes represented\u00a0Florida\u00a0as a state qualifier in performance halter mares at the Ford Youth World. Morgan and her gray mare Photons Cool Carrie took home the gold world championship trophy and a prize package.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ford Youth World also offers AQHYA members the opportunity to compete without their horses.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

AQHYA members can show their knowledge and skills at the horse judging, horse bowl, talent, speech, team demonstration\u00a0and scrapbook contests. The deadline for entries for Ford Youth World contests is July 15, 2009.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This is the pinnacle for youth around the world who will compete in the 33 classes in halter, English and western disciplines.
