The deadline for all Y.E.S. registrations is May 27.<\/p>\n<p>More than 200 AQHYA members are expected to attend this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s event.\u00c2\u00a0 The Youth Excellence Seminar focuses on developing AQHYA members\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 leadership through several group activities and expert motivational speakers.\u00c2\u00a0 This year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s featured speakers are Dennis McLoughlin, Dr. Bud Joiner, Bart Vanderdose and Craig Zablocki.<br \/>\nYouth will gain a greater understanding of the American Quarter Horse industry and learn ways they can become more involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Our goal is for youth members to get involved in all aspects of AQHA, and at the same time, learn valuable leadership skills that will enhance their AQHYA experience,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Christy Bramwell, AQHA Senior Manager of Youth Activities.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The more our youth members learn about AQHA and how to become an effective leader, the better they will lead the Association in the future, and they become better citizens in the process!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\nVoting delegates will elect AQHYA Officers and Directors during the convention. AQHYA members interested in running for a director position must declare his or her candidacy prior to May 16.
