Take advantage of early registration at a reduced rate until May 16. The deadline for all Y.E.S. registrations is May 27.<\/p>\n<p>More than 200 AQHYA members are expected to attend this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s event.  The Youth Excellence Seminar focuses on developing AQHYA members\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 leadership through several group activities and expert motivational speakers.<\/p>\n<p>Youth will gain a greater understanding of the American Quarter Horse industry and learn ways they can become more involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Our goal is for youth members to get involved in all aspects of AQHA, and at the same time, learn valuable leadership skills that will enhance their AQHYA experience,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Kayce Wagner, AQHA Senior Manager of Youth Activities.  \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The more our youth members learn about AQHA and how to become an effective leader, the better they will lead the Association in the future, and they become better citizens in the process!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Voting delegates will elect AQHYA officers and directors during the convention. AQHYA members interested in running for a director position must declare their candidacy prior to May 16. Each year, a $1,000 scholarship and $500 in Wrangler merchandise, provided by Wrangler, is awarded to an AQHYA member based on his or her involvement in the Association.
