I could not load all the information. I have on my calendar that the pre entries close Dec 29. This is an awesome facility and it is a well put on barrel race. If you need more information, you can pm me for the website. I'm going! Can't wait.

Yep, NICE facility. They have PLENTY of stalls and hookups. Nice outdoor warm up pen, covered warm up pen and arena are all under one cover. LOOONNNGGG alley if you leave from the warm up pen lol. Everything else is concrete or white rock..no chance of getting stuck.

I was visiting with Valerie at Old Time Farm Supply in Gonzales, LA., yesterday (12.18.07) and picked up a flyer and some information about this race. These girls really could use the support and this is a nice facility.
PS: The weather is great here in New Orleans.....so freezing is not on my list of things to do...

We plan on being at this race since it isn't far from Lafayette and we are entering the rodeo the same weekend. Hopefully we can draw up right so we can be in Gonzales for the weekend.
It will be nice to see this facility being used for it's intended purpose. The only other time I have been there was when I was doing the horse rescue after Katrina.

Just a reminder about this barrel race. I am planning on going and would like to maybe horse pool if someone was interested in going or if not maybe following someone if they were going to go if at all possible. I am trying to go to the orthodonist down there so I may be leaving Thursday after work. Don't know for sure waiting for brother in law to call back to see if he's working that Friday. If you may be interested let me know. It's an awesome facility with some great people putting it on. There is a website, pm me for it.

Deb it's 20 minutes from Baton Rouge depending on traffic. The arena is right off of I10 easy on and off. I will keep in touch.

No, I wasn't able to pre enter. I will late enter. I am not sure if I am going to stay there or save the $$$ and go to mom and dad's. I want to stay at the arena, so I will see what I can do. I just called about my braces and he is not working Friday but I am trying to get him to work Friday to take this tin grin off...................That will dictate when I have to leave, with Glynn or without Glynn.................. :cheeze: :cheeze:

Kori and I just wanted to send a quick email to let everyone know that this past Saturday my partner, Kori, and ground crew went to Lamar Dixon to work on the ground there. Thanks to them all!! They spent 5 hours there getting everything worked and consistent. We are expecting a huge turnout for this run and a fabulous show!!!! There will be many awesome vendors to shop with and plenty of raffle items to win! Don't forget the late fee is for the rider not per horse. Also, don't forget the average awards for participation in Saturday and Sunday runs. There are first and second place awards. There are a tad too fast and one out the money awards as well for Saturday and Sunday. On the website, I am most positive I read it can be a short sleeve just needs a collar. On the entry blank it says dress code--Must have a collared shirt (No Tank Tops), boots or heels down shoes, Hat is required. Well she seems to be doing better. Since I gave her the head meds she has been chasing my poor poor gelding around like crazy!!!! It's Hotter Than Hot..........They started it at BREC couple of years ago and then last year ground got bad so they moved it to New Roads....Jo Ellen got a flyer from Scooter at Gonzales, but when I emailed Tanya for the information she said they haven't decided on the arena. She said they may have it at BREC because the ground is supposed to be fixed.............I haven't gotten a flyer yet. As soon as I get it I will post. deb-it's usually $ 500 added each day Saturday and Sunday....I think they usually give average awards........It's a 4D with $ 40 a day fees and I think its a $ 10/day late fee. I usually pre enter and it's $ 80. As soon as I get something I will post it............ :)/\\
