TeePee Spring Barrel Race - Shelby County Posse Arena Center, Texas - $1000 Added Open 4D barrel race if over 100 entries, otherwise $500.00 added, entry fees $25.oo one time processing fee of $10.00. Exhibitions $3.00 or 4/$10.00. Ground has been worked on and will be good. Hope to see you there. Well, GB--Jo Ellen and Charlie are going and probably with 3 horses and a friend of mine might be coming behind me and they will probably have 3 or 4. I was thinking about going up Friday to Center......................That's why I was wondering....................I probably will need that round pen for Deezy but if you don't go to Jasper then I will be lost on where to go..................I might not find that little town of Pineland but of course it was on the map so I shouldn't miss it................. <DUMMY ME> <DUMMY ME> <DUMMY ME>

I may go my colts did pretty nice the other day when i ran their ,the ground was nice, they had some holding pens, where you can put a few horses, don't remember any other stalls, >PEACE<

Chaos I will let you know..............My generator is in me trailer right now........I had asked someone to ride with me but I haven't heard back yet..........That might work............If some friends follow me and go to Jasper, then I will stay whereever they stay...........I will know more in a couple of days................... :)/\\

Center is north of Jasper..............You can go to Nagadoches and then cut over to go to Center (East)............ :TIGGER:

Okay guys. I have directions to the arena from either way. Nagadoches/Jasper. I am having to read my shorthand. I will mapquest and then post.

From Jasper way, Take 96 N to Center............Take Right on Loop 500 and take around till you get to 7 EAst..........You will cross 87 stay straight and you will get to 7 East. Take a right on 7 East and the arena will be like 1/2 mile on right..........There is a Texaco station close to the arena..........
Now from Nagadoches Take 7 East to Center.............Take Loop 500 around till 7 East and arena will be on right.....................
If CY sees this she might can confirm............It has been years since I have been there................It is a covered arena and I know the lady putting the barrel race on as well as the president of the Sheriffs Posse who is in charge of the arena..............Imagine that..........Me know them............ <DUMMY ME> <DUMMY ME>

The station is right on the corner of the Loop and Hwy 7. After you turn on 7, you go up a small incline, past a small vet clinic on your right, and begin to go down a slope, and slow down because many have passed it up. There is a drive with a high pipe banner thingy. It is a gravel (blue rock) entrance. There is plenty of parking. It is a nice covered arena....good size....with a good alley and plenty of space to run out in.

Yeeaa what Irlucky said. You best be slowing down cause the tree's will dissapear and there will be the pipe fence the it'll dissapear if you're going fast. I can't remember whats past there so I have no idea where there is to turn around.
There should be places to put your horses. All except for one lady lives around the Center area so they shouldn't have many horses up there. There is roping boxes and holding pens at the far end and stock pens at the other end. The parking lot on the other side of the arena from the road is all of that hard black dirt that is rocky...not something I want to park on and tie my horse to stand on all day. But they have PLENTY of grass parking..if it doesn't rain. If it does..good luck
I hear they've fixed the ground, But I didn't ask how it was to anyone who went to the NBHA there last weekend. I told myself after the last two times going there I wasn't going back.
Coming out of the alley you should have plenty of room to stop, it slopes kind of up hill then there is a gravel road and a tree line..or you can go left or right and have tons of room. I just don't recomend taking a hard left or right on that hard black dirt..have seen many bite the dust at the back of the pen.
This arena just has a cover its open on the sides and both ends..so depending on the day there can be some weird shadows going on in there.
Think I covered everything lol
