Title: Prayers for Jeremy Hassell

Jeremy Hassell, a well known barrel racer in Central and Southeast Texas, had to be rushed to the emergency room this week.  His condition is going to require surgery, with an extended hospital stay.  Jeremy does not have insurance, is self employed as a trainer of barrel horses.  Jeremy has had to send the horses being trained home and will not have his needed income during his recovery.  Jeremy is 25 years old, from Magnolia, TX.  Now lives in the Austin, TX area.  Jeremy, has been running barrels at many of the areas associations for a number of years: NBHA TX30, NBHA TX24, NBHA TX27, NBHA TX28, CTBRA, STBRA, WRAPN3, TEXAS HILL COUNTRY.

More information will been available soon.  A Benefit Barrel Race is also in the works.

What he has is called Intussusception of the small intestine, this is common in children but very rare in adults.  The only recourse is surgery to remove the affected part.  He is being very strong about it.

any update?? Does anyone know what hospital he is at? I am headed to austin tomarrow and would like to drop by if hes still in there!
