Well today turned out to be a good day. Got a new set of shoes for Canyon & Bub. It was Bubs 1st time to have back shoes put on and he was an angel >angel< Only had a few complaints out of him. I saddled him up this afternoon and rode him and tried him out in his new shoes and boy he did great. He turned the barrels better than ever :TIGGER: Set up poles cause we havent worked on them in a while and he loped through them! He has never loped through poles! I was very proud of him. Im glad he is the one I have decieded to keep. I will miss my Canyon though :-\\\\\\\\

Well, I rode for the 2nd time this week. I don't know what it is Meg, but I just ain't in to it.................I have to go feed Deezy Do yet cause she is in the grass pigging out..................When it comes to riding, I have to make myself go..................... <DUMMY ME> <DUMMY ME>

Maybe you just need a break GBA. i took me a nice little break and it did me a lot of good and now im startin to ride again.
GB- I know the pain. Try stayin out at 90 with it all weekend riding a horse and workin in the heat. It drained me!
I think i might go on a night ride tonight. Im bored and tired of sittin in the house

So Im only riding 11 head a day....but I live to ride I guess I wake up riding at 6:00 and then end the day riding at 9:00...

They are in Nebraska and really good friends with June Holeman. Would it be Gothensburg??? My pro horse back in 95 came from them............Very very nice people................... <:) <:)

Ok, yes I do know who they are. A friend of mine put a barrel race on In Broken Bow every year and they are there. Yes they are very nice people. They have some really nice horses too!

Yes, that would be them...............When I went to Denver in 96, they drove out to come and watch me and Big Mac so I could meet them...............I had no clue who they were.............They walked by when I saddled him but I didn't know until after I ran...............I lost Mac in 98 and he was the BEST horse I have ever owned and I have owned some good ones................I could run barrels and calf rope on him..................One in a million!!!!! :Cloud 9: :Cloud 9: :Cloud 9:

I got jerked out of our big truck yesterday when I opened the door and the wind caught it. Needless to say, I wasn't too impressed with the wind at that moment lol

Well, If I go to Liberty I have to stay somewhere..............If I go to Gonzales, then I can stay at my families' houses and spend time with them. I can go up early or stay late.................They don't have extra fees at these barrel races and you know how nice Gonzales is..........Maybe I could see Doody! I need points too at NBHA 26 but it doesn't really matter...................I guess when it gets closer I will see................

OK IM SUPER PROUD OF BUB!!! :TIGGER: :TIGGER: :TIGGER: :()& :()& He has been gettin better and better by the day. Im not pushin him at all and he is startin to pick up speed himself! I love the way he turns. I think hes gonna be cherokee #2. Im ready to find a race and enter him in. I could not be prouder of him. Finally all my hard work is payin off. He is my 1st horse ive started from the ground up and I think ive done a good job. So what races are this weekend??

Usually we'd hit a rodeo Thursday night, run at Marshall Friday night, drive 6 hours to Jackson,ms run at 9am, then again that night, leave around mid night to go back to Marshall...catch up on sleep during the day and run that evening.

lol I will have to say..i'm not sure I could do that without my dad (the driver) I usually try and stay up too but sometimes those dark roads with no traffic gets the best of me.. so I doze off every now and then and he wakes me up when he needs more coffee. I believe he is THE king of the road.. lol but I may be biased :cheeze:

I would love to go except for I have to way to get there. My papa wouldnt let me drive his truck all the way to your house...hes wierd about it. If you go to liberty all weekend ill stay with ya. thats close to home and my horses do good in that pen.

Money is just tight everywhere.....That is why I have not been going. OK fees paid, but, the fuel is kicking my Butt! Also, we had a deal, me and Bobby, he is paying for Joe to go to the trainer, so, i have to lay off so he can re-coop from that $600 expense. That is the other reason i have not been going.....

GB I could never get rid of Cinch. Canyon is my little puppy dog. He runs and hides behind momma when Bub starts chasing him. Ya Canyon would make a great youth horse. The lady that is gonna come look at him is gonna ride him for a couple of years and the nher daughter is gonna use him as a step up horse.

nope. I got one person who I think might come out tomorrow or early this week. I think Canyon is gonna end up being a kids horse. The people who are gonna come look at him i think will give canyon a great home and their daughter and canyon would fall in love with each other

Me too. My dad told his boss I was sellin him but off on the price...like $2500 off <(::)> He called today and said he would buy him but IM stickin to my price. I told my dad to tell him the correct price tomorrow and see what he says. He also told my dad he would pay me $50 a day to give her leasons in the afternoon to get him to run at least a 20 with her in barrels! Thats easy! Also said he would pay me to haul her to barrel races :look:

i feel oh so much better , been working on the new house, got moved in things are all coming together, thanks to cold and classy..shes a life saver, love her to pieces.....went yesterday after not riding in a month and was feeling pretty bad hurting and ran my mare and i fell so much better today the pains arent constant just a few here and there, thank the good lord above and all the prayers coming my way, got a dr apt in the morning praying the kidney stone is gone....

Well I was outside havin some fun for a change. Finally got Celbi to go over the big jump with Canyon. Had to start off with the small jump then finally went over the big one. Also rode Bub real good today and have been outside since 4

Hey City,
My sister is in charge of the phone calls....so I don't know if she has yet or not. I know that the A/C guys is coming out Tuesday to replace the pan under the A/C unit. Mom got the carpet taken out of the bedroom that was the worst and the hallway. All the furniture is moved. Insurance is going to pay for some but most will be out of pocket. I'll be in Pville tomorrow sometime, what ya up to?
