she sent me a pic but i cant post it cuz i cant get the dam thing to my email...anyway she had jewel tied to the trailer and she opened her living quarter door and foam and crap started falling out..the entire inside was destroyed presumably by an animal that someone put in there..her windows up top of her bed were locked but somehow it was opened just enough so maybe the wild animal could get air and that an animal could crawl out and the screen was destroyed as well...her linens, the bed, the walls, her couch, all the stuffings..it jumped to her counter top..and i cant make out the picture cuz there is so much destroyed stuff everywhere..only thing she can figure out is someone put a wild animal in there, opened the top window so is could get some air or possibly get its way out of there...thank goodness her truck was locked and her tack compartment was locked..she is SICK...too sick to post pics rite now...thats just milicious of someone..i told her to call the cops and i would look for animal do-do and anysort of hairs that mite be there, maybe they can get finger prints off the open window or door handle..i cant imagine opening up my little trailer door and finding that...what comes around goes around <(::)>

Scalloped patterns could be fingers.

the foam was deffinetly not done by a animal..someone was taking hand fulls of foam and riping them out. The shreds on the couch is easy to do..once you make a slice in the viynl that is on those couches all you have to do is start ripping and the rips will run every which way.

but again...here's what I can figure out.
The trailer is ALWAYS LOCKED!! I always keep it locked...I even lock my back tack...even when I am home.
The only thing that I don't lock is my mangers. I only lock them when I'm away from home.
Saturday...I unlocked it and got stuff out and locked it back. Sunday...I got the clothes out that I went to
have monogrammed for this coming year with my ranch name and stuff out, but I don't remember locking it back.
I do not EVER leave the door open to the trailer....I HATE FLIES!! So its always closed...never with the screen door
closed and the other one open either. Anyway....long story short. Last night about 3 am the dogs were barking
up a storm...I thought it was coyotes. I am very very SKEERED of them....My aussie is very good about guarding
from them and I thought he was in protection mode. Jamie wasn't here so I didn't go out there. I'm sure that
this is when this was happening last night. I just drifted back to sleep and didn't worry. This morning I went out
to feed, clean stalls, ect...I didn't need the trailer for anything---I was going to ride tonight. So I was in here
with you guys most of the day bar the time I was doing some outside chores, ect and in the barn. This evening
I got my key out of the truck, and unlocked the back tack and saddled Jewel. Then I went to finish the scarecrow
Jamie and I were making to put down by the gate and went to get the "Billy Barter" hat out of the living quarters
and opened the door and there it was....I almost died. So this has been done since last night...I just never knew.
(Ya'll read that and I'll keep going....)

Ok...I'll keep going...anyway....I was so upset that I called deb before I checked the trailer out completely....YES....someone put a wild animal in there....YES IT WAS DELIBERATE. How do I know? After I settled down...I went back out and Jamie and I checked the trailer out from head to toe. Yes! I think someone angrily mauled my couch. No that is not all the work of an animal. It looks just like big chunks of someone's hand yanking big wads of stuffing out of it. My mini-blinds were ripped WHOLE from the wall...not one tear in them anywhere....an animal would have torn them and ripped them....it smells of dead in there...so I know they put an animal in there---and they were kind enough to open the window for him to get alittle air....my windows were locked from the inside....I locked them when I was at Ardmore and made sure they were locked because I was being cautious about theft. Now...after I settle down we go back and look at the back tack lock. Yes...It has been messed with...but they couldn't get it open. I couldn't find my needlenose pliers this evening to cut my hay...but Jamie found them under the trailer tonight when he checked the holding tanks....the nose of the pliers fits the scars on the lock. I opened my mangers...I know what they looked like becuz I got a cup out of them last night to pour the oil I got for Jewelie's tummy for her feed. They were in order last night....tonight...ummmm my 50 lb bag of feed is ripped open and pellets all over the mangers and my stuff was rumaged thru but I don't really know or care if anything is missing...its replaceable. (ya'll read that and I'll keep going)

So yes...bottom line is I got vandalized. By someone I probably know. By someone who I probably trusted. And no I don't really have the $$ to fix it right now, but hey! since when has that ever stopped any of us from finding a way to get the things done we need doing!!
God will help me find a way to pay for what needs to be done....Bottom line is this....you can tear the crap outa my trailer, but you won't

Did you call the cops? If not you need to. Think about the fact that they could have hurt one of your horses, dogs, or you. People who are bold enough to come on your place in the middle of the night and do that is more than a little touched!!!!! I do have a shotgun and do know how to use it! I suggest you get one (but put buckshot not snake shot). I would have no problem going out to investigate with no one home, but my Aussie is so protective he would bite somebody that would challenge me. I've been known to go out and holler I got a gun and I do know how to use it so I suggest you HAUL @$$ AND DON'T COME BACK. But we're back to the line between brave and insane!
You NEED to call and make a report. But guys y'all would be way surprised how many small counties do NOT take fingerprints for anything. Mine doesn't. Daughter heard a guy breaking in to her car here on our place (her house was just down the hill). We needless to say when she called I hollered out the window for all to hear. Get the shotgun, I've got the pistol we'll be right there! Then I called all the neighbors and the neighbor caught him at gun point in his truck. It was crazy and the cops said fingerprints - nope we don't do that.

glad your doing okay. Hang in there and remember if you do have to shoot, then shoot to kill a wounded person is as pissed off as a wounded animal. I had a cop tell me that, just repeating his words.

I have a suggestion... get motion sensored cameras and put around your house and in your barn if you think this may be a repeat offender... they have the deer cam's that are not too much $$ and Sams has some of the little cameras that you can hook up to a VCR and record too.

I had some bits stolen out of my trailer a couple weeks ago. It makes me mad because they were my favorite bits. But anyways that does not compare to your loss.

I was going to tell you the same thing that barndad said, do not feed the feed that was opened. We had a friend that was a stock contractor, he unloaded his horses at the rodeo arena and someone had put gopher posion and he lost all of them and it was done to get back at him. I think I would have it tested and also check your feed and hay in your barn. Just be carelful. Also, my heart goes out too you. Why do people have too be so mean. Sorry for you mess.

I too have a shotgun, and trust me when I tell you I know how to use it, you need a body guard, you call mamma, I will come a running. One last thing, you find out who did this and mamma will take them out behind the woodshed and read to them from THE BOOK.

Well that is the one thing I'm not worried about thank goodness is the feed....I was completely out of feed and just went to get a load...
I am going to vaccum out with the shop vac all that I can't scoop out in the mangers and throw away...its just scattered everywhere.
That was my last bag and I always keep "just one" in there for safe keeping is case i need it or run out.
I'm waitin on the sherriff....... :blah:
and....i WILL TELL U THIS....When this trailer gets fixed....the outside of it will have a sign.....

Why in the world would people do this to someone. It just makes me sick to see what either jealousy does to people or just plain meaness. What is this world coming to that people think doing something like this is going to change something. All its doing is showing how petty they are. They sure wouldn't like it if someone came to their place and destroyed their property. I hope they take finger prints. There is no call for this. I would hurt someone really bad for doing this. If you need a posse just say the word. I'm always loaded for BEAR and will be there and take care of them. I don't put up with this kind of stuff. People around me know better then to mess with my stuff because I'm the Crazy Lady with Gun...........Little do they know the one that I use the most is just a 22 pistol loaded with Rat Shot. I do carry a 357 Sig also and a 12 awg Shotgun loaded with 00 buckshot. I am so sorry this happened to you and if there is anything we can do (posse wise) just say the word. :no:

It MUST be someone that your dogs know because they only barked and didn't bite anyone..........think about that..........
AND, I'd be worried that if they would do that to your trailer that is right at your house, who's to say they wouldn't do that to the house...even while you're there... They wouldn't wanna come in my house....my pit bull would tear em up lol

I am just now seeing this, Laura! I am sooooo sorry and so worried, your trailer is to close to your house to be comfortable for a while.

As you said, at least all living is ok, the trailer can be repaired but start locking you gates and maybe check into the motion cameras.

Laura, I have not read all of the pages but if you have a homeowners policy your trailer should be covered since it was parked in your driveway. That is one of the extensions of coverage provided by a homeowners policy. I am positive but I think it will be covered under personal property and you should have limits high enough to completely fix the trailer.

Laura - I'm sorry for what happened to your trailer. It does sound like a vindictive thing to do. It sounds like someone who has a grudge against you. I'm glad you are getting motion cameras. I would also pick up a sign to post on your front gate that says something along the lines of private property, tresspassers will be prosecuted. Personally I'd shoot first, ask questions later.....but I've been known to get a little hot under the collar.
Let us know what the police lady says about your trailer. I hope and pray that whoever did this gets picked up by the police before any of us get ahold of them. They'd be praying for jail after I got done with them. <IMSOMAD> <IMSOMAD> Nobody hurts one of my friends or their things and gets away with it.

went thru the whole thing....I am missing some small money and a diamond ring worth $1500...yes...they also threw a dead animal in there...
we found the evidence.....Sooooo now to file a claim with the insurance....I've been on the phone with chuck getting some personal advice about insurance issues----and I'm telling you this! when this is over...he's taking my insurance!! That way I know I'll get service!!

The lady says that is smells dead and she thinks they drug it around it there and then opened the windows so the flies could swarm.

Hope they have the fingerprints on file because if they don't then they might not be able to. IF they get enough Probable Cause on a suspect, then they can get a warrant for the prints of that person. Also, it can take awhile to get the results back depending on your crime lab. Were they able to find any blood? I would think with the amount of damage then they would have maybe nicked themselves. Also, I'm sure your dept does this but keep an eye out on the pawn shops around your area. They might pawn that diamond ring and the pawn shops usually keep records of who they buy from. If you have any questions, feel free to hollar.

The deputy thinks they just took a dead one in there and threw it around to stink it up, rub it on my mattress, yada-yada....and then they just threw it out the door...who knows? If they did that...I know my dogs took off with it...I have been smelling a dead smell by one of the sheds today...I've looked but can't locate whats dead.

I just thank God that you and your animals are ok. It is a major inconveniece about your trailer, but it is a inanimate object. Your pets and horses are your friends. I would be pissed about my trailer, but hell hasn't seen me mad like I would be if someone hurt my animals because they were pissed at me!!!! The plug was accidentally pulled out of the electrical outlet by the garage, and it was several months later that they unlocked the door and walked in. Hey Laura....I am not sure what kind of insurance you have but I can tell you this.....I work for State Farm and we deal with restoration companies that can do MIRACLES on smell! Ask Deborah Barnes about the house they rented from us!!! Our renters that moved in January left some food in the fridge (unbeknownance to us) and no one went into the house until around MAY!!!! >CRYING EYES OUT< >CRYING EYES OUT< >CRYING EYES OUT< You talking about a smell!!!! I called a place here and they set out an ozone machine in the house overnight and it took all the odor out!! It is truly amazing what they can do! So as long as the source isn't still in there, they should be able to get that part handled.
I'm really sorry this happened because I don't care what kind of deals a person has, no one should do this type of thing for revenge or whatever! Just thankful they didn't hurt you nor your animals! It blows my mind the things some people do!!! Good luck to you on getting everything fixed!!!! You'll be back in action in no time.

Have you thought about getting a laser at your gate that you turn on and off, and when someone crosses its a alarm and goes off at your house or barn, if they had the nerve to drive in or walk in. My husband is a elecrtrican and we were talking and he read the post here and he said the motion lights and the camera's was a good idea.He said he didn't know the price of the laser , it might be worth looking into.

Laura, you need this. It's made for entryways and gates, but you can put them up anywhere you want motion detection. Like the entryway into your barn, or motion between your barn and your trailer, or behind your house, anywhere. If motion is detected, it will set off an alarm in the house (up to 3000 ft away) and its only $99.00 for 4 transmitters and runs on a 9V battery. gurl.. we had a long wait with the texas adjuster... hubby truck was in the shop for three weeks.. we call la office they turned it over to texas.. well texas took long time before they came out and gave the dodge dealership the ok to fix eds truck.. so I hope it works out.. the insurance covered and now its being worked on... so glad that work out.. the parts alone was well over 6000.. not to mention the rental on the truck.. poor rental.. it got drove like a real truck... that boy is hard on trucks..

Laura, call your agent. He is the one that is getting paid the commission on your premium and he should be able to hold your hand thru this claim and do the leg work for you. It is crazy for you to have to put up with doing all of the work, that is what the agent is for!!!

I have ag-workers for my truck. Cant beat a co-op for insurance! When my tire blew, they had an independent adjuster come out the same day, with in 4 hours of me calling. They also paid me WAY more than I actually needed. They paid to replace the whole bed of my 2500 dodge....I had it "fixed" and used the money to replace the tires. That was more than enough! AND for full coverage for my 2003 1ton goat I owed like $900 a year. BUT they give a dividend ever year....This year it was $237 dollars!! MAN, sure makes it nice to pay so little for car insurance! Hubby has the house and his truck through Farm Bureau. But I think Ag-workers is fixing to start doing houses too....

I found him by the hay shed where i park the trailer....not my kitty!!.....the deputy and i looked the other day and we could not find
the animal but we could smell it....i'm sure that's the animal and then the dogs had a playtoy. It smells like my trailer!

This experience is believing me to believe i will never use Allstate again....i think they look for reasons not to pay, instead of
reasons to pay. I pay them each month and I expect alittle consideration for my payment even if ever need had cause to use
the issue. At this point, I should be dammm greatful that when we had this fire out here by the house this past summer and we
had to evacuate...that my house did not burn to the ground....I am not believing their slogan..."your in good hands"......

Our homeowners insurance is with Germania. Luckily, we've never had to claim anything....so not sure how they are to deal with.

You need to go on the web site for state board of insurance check out the complaints about Germania . When they had all the fires in Paradise they would not pay for smoke damage, was excluded. In insurance if the rate is way less that the standard companies then the coverage is not the same. Cheaper is not always better.
Laura you are right as I told you earlier Allstate is very hard to deal with on a claim.

I too have Germania. I love them and I have the contents of my trailer added onto my homeowners policy. They are the best insurance carrier that I have ever had.

Wow.
You can go to wal-mart, academy, gander mountain, maybe even TSC and look for a "trail camera" for hunting game, mainly deer. You can mount them in hiding spots and when the motion heat sensor on them is activated they take pictures and show the date and time the picture was taken. It will take pictures of animals or humans. Then you can go and review and print out the pictures. It uses a scan disk to store pictures. And they have battery powered and solar powered ones. They run pretty cheap to expensive. Hunters use them to see what kind of game animals are going through their deer lease and to see how big the deer are and to see at what time they are active. So the camera/trail camera takes pictures of moving live things. When you go through your pictures, you can delete them if you want.

I would be changing locks on your houses and gates and windows. Even your town house.
Also, what about telling your adjuster that the longer they draw this out, that the more expensive it will become to fix your trailer and the more it will cost them. Because the longer they keep holding out, you can't fix your trailer, it becomes more health hazardous and more things will need to be replaced/fixed because of things like water leaks, mold, and water damage if seals were broke, windows, doors, or the walls messed up. Or because of the dead animal in there. That might be a little far out there, but might make them move a little faster in getting an adjuster out.
You could always rig up a clear fishing line with bells or coke cans and when someone trips it, it makes a lot of noise and scares the person, lol.
That is just so creepy. I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you!

I did my own interior and even though it isn't finished completely (I decided on some rather interesting cabinet doors and haven't got around to building them yet), but it's easy to do if you decide to do it yourself. You'll also have the opportunity to do EXACTLY what and how you want things.

I am so sorry that someone has done this to you...what has our world come to...I hate to add to your distress...but....if animals are coming up dead...I would be checking around for poison...did you take the feed out of your horse trailer and dump it somewhere?? I hope that they find out soon who has done this to you...if teenagers, they might have some record...and now days to get a license..you have to give your fingerprints...so maybe they will be found.

I don't know you, but am very sorry this is happening to you. From the sounds of it, someone is still coming around. I would get the motion lights/cameras up now. I like the idea of the hunting one that takes pictures. If you feel comfortable enough with the gun, shoot to kill if you hear/see anything.
I don't usually lock up my trailer here at home (farm), but we have had some vandalizing in our town, so I've started locking up my trailer. I have 2 outside dogs (rottie & aussie), but still doesn't hurt to lock up.

Yea, those trail cameras take good pictures in the dark, they come out really clear. Of course the more expensive ones work better than the cheaper ones. But even the cheap ones work pretty well. My Dad uses them at his deer lease. My Uncle uses them too and he got pictures of a guy that was walking around his deer lease, the same guy it took pictures of him in the day and during night. It was funny, he didn't know the trail cams were there and it got one of the guy pee'ing on a tree, LOL.

A few years ago someone drove in 1 mile off the road to my barn and stole all of my saddles! Grimes County's finest did NOTHING except make a report.
I told them about a gal that had come out to look at a saddle then could not come up with the money.. and a crew of hay haulers that had just been there - heck I did more of an investigation than they did...
Oh yea! CRIME STOPPERS! put an add in the local paper for info on the crime and offer a reward!

Update...ALL THAT I KNOW....
So far I have been handed off 5 times to five different claims adjustors which of none have returned a call....i have to call them.
Today I called the 3rd one back and told her to find me someone today or I would be contacting my attorney. I also
called my agent who would not be able to take my call, but his secretary and told her that same thing. I was ASSURED that someone
would contact me RIGHT BACK.... :blah: :blah: Like I told her...yes, I'll believe that because you all have been so prompt in your service
already. This is ALLSTATE I'm dealing with. NOT ROCKET SCIENCE not to do business with them again. As people have pointed out...
yes this is a loss of income for me because my trailer is part of my business. I have lost about $300 this week by not being able to use it
already....I have some customers that I haul to and ride with weekly, and I also have missed taking my horses to appointments that they
needed for vet. I also have to haul some of these colts off and run them...its expected for me to do this as its part of my pay.
No one is mad at me and knows it is not my fault....but I missed taking a colt last week for a man who needed to see him and it was his
only weekend off to watch him run....it made me feel horrible.
NO LEADS from the sherriff's office....no fingerprints that were viable. Nothing there can be done, except they put my ring on a list that
goes out to pawn shops for stolen property. No suspects, no nothing. That has been depleted and I'm not the priority there any longer...
so it lands under the table.
Back to square one....I've had it. This afternoon....the trailer is getting cleaned out....I have to get it ready for repair and I'm going to start
putting together estimates. I'm taking it tomorrow to John Walker in Stephenville and get a written estimate of damage...and then I will start
fixing it myself. Should they doubt the validity of the damage there will be something in writing. I have to start getting it ready to use
again and I can't waste another week sitting here waiting on people that don't do their job.
THAT'S THE UPDATE....AND THAT'S MY STORY.....WISH I HAD BETTER NEWS....BUT UNFORTUNATELY I DON'T.... :\\(((

I have waited for an adjuster to return my call. To this point, I have never received a return phone call. I have called and spoken to
them because I have myself placed the call. I do not feel that I should have to "leg" this claim along. I feel that it is your job as my
agent and I purchased my policy thru you to attempt to contact the "special claims property adjuster" in my behalf and see what the
problem is with making contact with me and validating this claim. I would like a yes or no answer as time and money is valuable to me as it is to you as well I am sure. I am forwarding any correspondence I have received from your office and Allstate in general to my attorney
who will be happy to research the boundaries in which this policy has failed me. Should the policy not be payable from Allstate's standpoint
in any way in the degree of this trailer being considered part of my property ownership policy I will be seeking legal remedy for the damages,
my lost income due to your incompetence, and the policy cost itself. I would hope that you take this opportunity to work with me instead
of my attorney, as I am much easier to please."

Laura I am really sorry to hear about your trailer I've been without my computer so I did not know any of this had happened. I totally understand your disgust with the insurance. They expect people to pay on time or they cancel your policy but they do not want to do their job quickly. As for the law....sometimes I think they do not feel theft or vandalism is important. I had a groomer come and steal my equipment out of a friend of mine's van not to long back. I reported it, gave them identifying marks on my equipment (it was around $790 worth) then took it upon myself to set an appointment up with her to groom a dog in the county she lives in with the help of a detective there. (She had know idea of what I looked like and I used a fake name) When she came the cops surrounded her and asked if they could look in her grooming unit she agreed, I then identified my equipment, the law took it for evidence turned it over to my county cops and she still has yet to be arrested. I live in Brazoria County and they are blaming it on the Hurricane I believe they don't feel it is important, I replaced my equipment because I have to work so why should they care. Errrrrrggggggg! It is so disappointing when we do our jobs, try to live right and others do not do their part. Anyways.....Good luck with your trailers and I will be praying for you!

I am all about making them suffer with what crime they did so sticking him/her in a cell with no stuffing to pull out would be great. I can buy deer pee at Academy and sit there and spray it in their jail cell too.....slowly with a squirt gun til they are covered in deer pee. We all work so hard to get what we have and keep up with our expensive sport, that it just ticks me off that someone knew the tender spot and went for it. I am so glad none of your animals were hurt though!!!

And wouldn't even give me a definate time. Just between 8 and 12. Told me to get an estimate so I did. Stephenville truk n trailers wrote me one for....GET THIS! $31,936.00!!! HOPE THEY LIKE THAT ONE!!!

Ok...now I'm on computer so I can throughly explain this.....I was told to get an estimate.....so I did....
I went to the most expensive place a person can get one....OUTLAW. Outlaw doesn't write their estimates per say...their dealers do.
My good buddy Tye that works for Stephenville Truck and Trailer Sales told me that Outlaw or any other conversion company will
not repair or warranty any other company's conversion except their own unless they gut the existing conversion out and start over.
$31,936 is what it would cost to TOTALLY gut it and restart with nothing.....Mine does not need this. But it is the only estimate they
can give, and hopefully it will show the insurance company the value of the interior of the trailer. Tye who has experience in these things
before said that the likelihood of any insurance company paying that amount is false however he has seen them come in after seeing one
of those estimates and offer to settle for a 1/3 of that value. That would be $10,000. And THAT WOULD BE FINE WITH ME!! I would
be tickled pink to get that! Each item is itemized as far as cost....and you can see replacement cost to fix, on the estimate for a new
conversion like mine. Since my company is in located in Alabama, that would be extreme for me to go there for repair. The insurance
agent told me to go locally....so that's what i did. I am supposed to pick one up tomorrow from West Texas Conversions as well....but they are only supposed to be about 5% less than OUTLAW so its basically the same estimate.
If I was lucky enough to get $10,000---my deductable is $2360....so I'd still be ok....We will see how it goes..... <(' ')> <(' ')> <(' ')>

Any ideas of who did this to you? You should call the news station and let them come video you saying "yeah, we got lots of photos of this person on all of our hidden security cameras and yes we know who did this".....let them pee their pants thinking you have them on tape!!
