Okay. I just spoke with the manager of Jalapeno Tree, Athens, TX...............Meet and Greet at 8p.m.
I will have to supply her with a final count when it gets closer, but I just want to post what I have down and yall can correct me if need be................
SOMEONE WILL NEED TO BE THERE BEFORE 8:00 P.M.
WE MAY HAVE OUR OWN BACK ROOM...............I TOLD HER GREAT CAUSE JALAPENO TREE WON'T EVER BE THE SAME............HOPE I DIDN'T SKEER HER............

Hey, is there an address to this Jalapeno Tree as I am directionally challenged and will have to get my Garmin to get me there! Or maybe I need directions to the arena first since I will need to drop the horses off first as we will probably getting there just as everyone is at the restraunt. Or maybe both places?!?!?!

I'll post my questions here, since this seems to be the most active spot right now for the clinic.
1) Can I come to the clinic as a spectator and contribute to the fund for Ben for getting to watch the clinic?
So, the next one is only applicable if the answer to #1 is "yes".
2) Can I bring a horse to ride after the clinic or before? Or will the arena be closed? I have a green horse that needs to get out & that would be a good time.
If the answer is yes to #1 (& there's another RV spot & 2 stalls, if #2 is yes), then add 2 to the list for the meet & greet please.

All you are required to bring is a money donation for the clinic part....and an award for a prize to be given....anything xtra is totally up to you!!
We will be having a silent auction on a few items---a stallion breeding fee for one, and some other items that will be sorted thru late Friday night.
If you are planning to come to the meet and greet and get there early or after our dinner out....I would be glad to take your items at that time because i will be up labeling them and deciding how they will be sorted out for either awards or silent auction depending on what we get.....
Silent auction items will be spread out Saturday so bidding can begin....I have considered leaving awards "a secret" til I lay them out on Sunday
to be given away.....that will make you wonder what you might get!! :cheeze: :cheeze: :cheeze:

I am going to leave my house early Friday morning....I'm about 2 and half hours away....so I should be there by 11 at the latest.
That will give me time to take care of my horses and things and hopefully do some last minute things for the clinic. I need to have a few
hours to sort thru the forms and read registration info because I have not seen any of that...betsy has it. I've got to have some quiet time
to just read read read....so I can learn the most about my students and their horses so I can help them all I can....Hopefully I will have
a trailer by then ready to stay in!! And won't have to get a motel room.... :\\(((

well i have decided the twins are coming if i can get a truck to borrow i am going to borrow my friends living quarter trailer that way the twins will be able to sleep and i will be able to leave early friday and meet up with CY at her house and go from there. and i don't have to worry about hurrying up to go home sunday and try to get them from my sister n laws. so that said just be patient with me and the twins :cheeze: because we will be by ourselves and i hope i can remember how to get to CY's house. maybe hubby will by me a garman :cheeze:

I'm taking Kaitie's horse as a pony horse for my gelding...in case he sees another miniature donkey! :ROFL2: Kaitie may ride 30 minutes or so a day, but I'm not even sure about that. I know she won't sit on her horse all day for the clinic. I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do with her if I end up participating in the clinic. I'd planned to load an ice chest of snacks/drinks and toys and dvd player & sit her in the stands...oh, and bucket & shovel!
I have a 3 horse, so if you just want to bring 1 horse, we could do that. Have you seen my new trailer? I can't remember. You and Rilee could stay with us, if you want. It's not huge (10' LQ), but there would be room. The only thing with riding with you is I have to bring my 2 dogs because I don't have a dog sitter. I don't want to impose my dogs upon you, so you won't hurt my feelings if you say no! :cheeze: We could just take my truck. I still have the 4 door.

The way I go...is thru Lufkin 69 to Jacksonville, take a left on 175 go to the Loop around Athens I am pretty sure it is Loop 7 and then exit on 31 stay right and arena is on the right. Real simple and good roads.

gb I am not going to be able to come up on Thursday.... not only did Hubby not like it....but my horse hurt his leg, he came out of the pasture 3 legged so I need to doctor him. I am going to wrap my horse that I am riding in the clinic with bubble wrap!

I'm going to try and get off work early enough on Friday to make it to the meet and greet, but I looked at the schedule today and it doesn't look to promising. So if we don't show up at the meet and greet don't worry about it. We may be pullin in the wee hours of the morning.
