I am having my first craving . . . at 257 PM on the FIRST DAY of my new lifestyle, I am craving cake.
My mind says have a small amount of cake to squash the need, and then get on with your life.
But the honest fat girl in me can tell you that I have no concept of a small amount of anything that I actually want.
I tried a banana with lunch to kill the need for sweet . . . that didn't work.

Also, I have been a member of the healthy menu mailer for the past year. They give you a shopping list for a week with healthy tasty meals and tell you the calorie count. So easy!! I don't want to get zapped but if you want the website pm me. It's like $4 for each month...totally worth it!
While trying to get on the wagon (holding a monster in one hand and a dr. pepper in the other) I lost my balance and fell off. So, I did not make it on. I will just wave as the wagon goes by!!!! Ya'll are too funny! I slipped up again yesterday afternoon...ate potato soup, with crackers and had 2 cookies and milk for dessert :blah: I did however ride again yesterday and worked out on the total gym last night. On my calorie counter....I went over by 113 calories :blah: Off to a better start today though...Honey nut cheerios and 2% milk for breakfast!!!WOW! That is alot! I wonder how much salt I'm taking in?!

something that might help you Walden Farms makes salad dressing, BBQ sauce and other products that are fat free, sugar free and calorie free. There are some that are pretty good. Some of the Brookshires have them and you can get on line. Give them a try.

I think it's time that I suck it up and jump on this wagon. My Mom and I have been doing it together, we just started Monday, and we are already depressed. I'm up 20ish pounds since JUNE!!!! I need to lose it!!! I don't ride as well when I'm heavier. In 1999 I broke my pelvis and hips, and it is SOOOO important that I keep the extra weight off so that I don't over tax them. So how does this work? Do I need to tell you what I weigh, and where I want to stop?

Well today I woke up late, so no breakfast. Had lunch, grilled pork chop, mashed potatoes and a roll. Then went to Madisonville to participate in the parade. I am tryin Acai-aslim. Let me warn you. I saw this on the Dallas Morning News and I clicked for a free trial. I had to pay $4.95 shipping. When I got my free trail there was not any paper work. When I opened the pills there was not any cotton in the bottle. That bothered me. I started researching this product that I have already recieved. Well I feel off the wagon yesterday but it really wasn't my fault. We were working in E. Texas and there was nothing but a Sonic to eat at and I was so cold and tired I didn't care. We were on a lake working on a 3 story house with no doors or anything to keep that cold wind comming off the water off of us. The dang driveway is 75 feet long on a 21 degrees basically straight up. So I got plenty of exercise going up and down the driveway and stairs. I also got plenty of weight building wearing 2 layers of clothes, extra heavy coat and carring materials in and out. The thermometer said 30 but that did not include the wind chill which had to be at least low 20's. Next time we are short handed at work I want it to be around 75 degrees. I don't mind working in those temps but when it's cold outside I want to be at my desk but it never seems to work out that way.
But on a good note I weighed this morning and somehow lost 1 pound through it all. But for some reason I feel like the good year blimp so I don't know how I lost anything.

I did my workout last night. Although we had chicken fajitas for dinner, and although we put good stuff on them, I think I didn't do well on my portions. Well, I got today to make up for it.

I'm doing so great on my diet, and DAD comes in with TWO DOZEN TAMALES!!!!! Homemade by a sweet mexican lady in town! They are the BEST!!!!! I MUST NOT EAT THEM!!!!! Or atleast find out their caloric value before I do. It drives me nuts! He could eat all 24 of them, and lose 10 lbs!!!!!
As of today I have lost 4#! Also, saw a Dr on the Debra Duncan show Thursday and am going to see him for thyroid check - he had a test on his website and if you scored 28 or over by symptoms you probably had a thyroid problem.... I scored 33

Well, all I really know is that it's usually good to have some sort of protien and a carb in the morning. I actually sometimes make deviled eggs (like the night before), and just eat those real quick (2-4), and then will have a slice of toast with sugar free apple butter. But I kind of would like something I could just take to work with me and eat it here at the office. My friend found these scrambled eggs with chicken and peppers in the frozen food section at Target and she likes them.

I make my deviled eggs with Lite Miracle Whip and some a little bit of mustard, and lite salt and pepper. So that way you aren't adding in a bunch of calories.

I LOVE the Kashi protein bars. They sell in the protein bar section of Wal-Mart.
I normally hate protein bars because they are high in calories, and taste kindof like dirt. The Kashi ones taste like a REALLY good granola bar, they have chocolate, so you get a chocolate fix, are 180 calories, 4g. of protein, 5g. of fiber, and stay with you.
They are also easy to grab and go.

Sorry I havent been reporting. Since loosing my mare last Monday, I havent been in the mood for much. I have no loss or gain STILL. My problem is I just cant quit eating. Last night I was still full from supper, but I had a handful of chips and soem juice. I think I actually eat more than my hubby and my 16 year old son, and you know how much a teenager can eat. (woohoo) I just think I'll wave goodbye to the weight loss wagon. :blah: <HI>
I fell off the wagonbefore Christmas and was knocked out. I am climbing back on Monday. I am going to go to the grocery store Sunday and get stuff to try the diet that rafter d is on. My weakness is candy. I love sugar.

So I am happy to say I lost over 6 pounds this past week!!! I dont know where I lost it but I did. I have been on the diet that Rafter D gave me and it is easy to follow. I have lost the extra weight I had gained since we started plus a little extra. So now I am motivated to start working out more too!

Did my workout this morning. Whew, it was cold too! We have no heat in our house, so it was a nippy 36 degrees in the house!girl friend you going to freeze to death! it's suppose to get real cold the next few nights.

Good luck go baby go....I started out at 146 or 147...and now i am at 126 and holding....i started it on the first day and hit my goal a few weeks ago,, and am maintaining it good..I have made modificatioons to it to help me maintian the weight where i want it at....I feel better than I have in years and have so much more energy....and i am not hungry all the time either...I probly could of lost more but decided this was a good weight for me..Thank you!! ;)

well if the weight ever starts to decrease i will let you know... right it is inches and i have lost almost 20.5 inches in a month. (thanks to my personal trainer)))
Well not only that, but whenever you start to gain muscle, it's going to retain more water, so that's why it's not always good to pay attention to the scale, but to the inches that are lost.applause applause YAY for you! I quit drinking diet pop, and noticed my jeans fit looser. I've been drinking tea, I think it was the carbon making me bloated. Bleh. <(::)>
I went out for Valentine's day, and decided to wear some jeans that didn't fit me when I tried them on in November, well folks, they fit! I was so excited! So I'm hoping to be able to fit into some more clothes by the end of March!
