Dont you love having a March bday? I do!! God brings us Jonquils and Bluebonets every year :)/\\ And you never know what the weather's gonna be doing! :ROFL2:
Sparkplug's bday is March 31...sometimes I think that's why we get along so well....both Aries & terribly hard headed >angel<
Well, congrats Whit and Cody! :* Whit, I know you and Brad are so excited! Y'all will be great parents! Cody's right. After having a baby, everything else seems not nearly as important as it was before. Even now that we've moved to Weatherford and I could be riding more, I still don't ride. I find myself wanting to goof around with Emilee. I still love barrel racing and want to do it, just don't want to put forth that hard work that it takes to reap the benefits. LOL!!! So far it hasn't worked for me when entering the few that I've entered. :ROFL2:
Congrats and best of luck again to all of you! Lee would love to put us in that 2009 calendar with you all. I'm thinking 2010 for us, though. We'll see! ;)

And everyone else... but specially Whit, cause I know her and I loves her. ;)
I do not have a physical address but I will try to get directions to the arena this weekend and repost them for you. I need to get with Tamet and pay for the ad too.
Lots of future barrel racers in the list. We can almost fill up a class when they are old enough!!
You Moms with the tickers.....How did you do that ....I want one for Jaci's baby
Please help!!!
Due to some high counts on my last blood tests, I have to go in on Monday (the 2nd) and have a level 2 ultrasound done. This is to determine if my tests were a true or false positive. If it is a true positive, I will have an amniocentesis done to determine if the baby is at risk for Down Syndrome.
I really nervous about having an amnio done. Has anyone else had to have one of these before? I've been reading about them about the risks and all. Just haven't actually heard from anyone who has had it actually performed yet.
codyH,
Thanks for the advice. I hear that they get false negatives and false positives all the time. Since I've had one of both, I'm just anxious to see which is the true test. I know they've come a long way in testing and procedures, etc. but there is still always the low risk for miscarriage and/or infection. It's just going to be a long week till I can find out one way or the other. On a positive note, hoping to be able to find out the sex 3 weeks earlier than expected now that I have to have an extra ultrasound. :)/\\

Congrats on the baby turning around! So far, you and Jaci Berberich look to be the only ones that will be having a normal birth at this point. Keep us posted on how it all works out, since I personally will not be having a normal delivery (only C-sections from now on).I could tell with mine because it's such a tight fit, you tend to feel more elbows and MUCH HARDER movement...
Did you know when the baby turned over, or has it been just regular movements? I was just wondering if it seemed to happen all in one movement, or just over a period of time with small movements.
Well I had an appt yesterday and my child has finally turned downward!!! Yea....So I guess that we are back on for a regular delivery. My due date is February 23rd. My doctor said that she wasnt going to let me go into March, so I guess that means that we will have a baby sometime that week. I have already checked the calender and the full moon is February 9th. I know how crazy things can be on a full moon!!!!
Ronda Lunsford's daughter had a girl today Congrats

Emilee was born on Feb. 23. She was very content where she was so we had to set a date. LOL!!! After laboring for 8 hours with her not even attempting to make an appearance, my doctor decided on a c-section. I had a couple of different doctors and all kinds of nurses in and out during those 8 hours. They finally figured out that she was turned "sunny-side up." I can't remember the real word for it but there was no way that I was going to be able to have her naturally. Good luck to you and everyone else. There's nothing like having a little one(s). :)/\\

Miss Emilee is about to have a B-day!! Will she be 2 or 3?? I can't keep up!! Jaycee will be ONE tomorrow!! It has Flown By for sure!!! And by the way we think Baby #2 is going to be Emilee Kate!! :)/\\

Good luck and congrats to everyone !! mine is 15 months and she weighed 9.3 lbs when she was born and I of course had a c-section !!
On our first, my husband didn't want to know. Needless to say he was the only one that didn't know. I never told him, and kept all of the "pink girly" stuff at my mom's. He didn't find out till in the dellivery room. He says that there are very few "real surprises" in life and he just wanted to be surprised. He did choose to find out on this one - and I think that was only because we had to go into the specialist due to the bloodwork that came back. Though the picture was really grainy and hard to see, the doctor says it's a girl. But I still think there is room for error on the picture. ??? I have a follow up ultrasound next Wednesday, so I will be 2 weeks further along and we will confirm. Of course, my nephew was a girl each time they checked and SURPRISE....a boy on delivery day. :ROFL2:

Dina - I'm doing my best!
Honestly - I've been thinking about not finding out. At first I was all about it, wanted to know as soon as we could find out. Now I'm sort of torn. I think its awesome that we have the technology to find out...but now I'm not sure if I want to know. Its one of those deals where once the cat's out of the bag you cant put it back in. I've talked with Brad about it and he said he's fine waiting until the baby gets here but said its totally up to me. Thanks -- no pressure there :ROFL2:
yes she was and still is !! we tried to do the whole keep it a surprise ,huh yeah right my mouth sliped the first time I went back for a checkup and hubby called on the way home and said how did it go ,I said oh she is fine -lol he said SHE !! opps !!
Well here is the update.......Raelee will be here on Monday. I have another appt on Friday to see how she will come into this world. If I am dialated a little bit more than she will induce me but if not we will take her by c-section. The doctor is worried about scar tissue from previous surgeries.

shlanin - good luck on your next appointment.
I was wondering - of all of you ladies that are due before me, (I'm due July 4th - or the end of June), how did you all fare on the glucose screening test? I am sooo dreading that again. I'm pretty sure that I will have that test done on my "next" appointment. I have an appointment on Tuesday (regular visit) and then another follow up ultrasound on Wednesday with the specialist.
I'm just wondering if they have improved it or changed the flavors since 6 years ago when I had to take it for the first time? Mine was about 8-12 oz of this luke warm Orange Crush tasting liquid with what seemed to have about 2+ cups of sugar in it. bleeegh! Nasty!
Did anyone get diagnosed with gestational diabetes? I was fortunate not to have it with my first, but every pregnancy is different so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
shlanin - hope you are taking it easy since the big day is coming.
Question to all - Have any of you had, or are you planning on having a 3D ultrasound video made of the baby? I didn't with my first, but I am going to with this one. Just curious if you did, where did you go?
I was just curious to see how many people on the boards are expecting? *:@
If you are:

Well i had an appt on Friday and was still not dialated but the doctor doesnt want me going past next week. So I have to the hospital on Sunday at 3pm and they are going to start some of the process. Then they will start to induce on Monday morning at about 530am. We agreed that if we werent at a certain point by a certain time, if i wasnt progressing like i should then we would go ahead and do a c-section. So either way we will have a baby on Monday!!!!!
YEA!!!!!!!!!!!
The Berbs went to the 3D ultra sound yesterday and took a good look at this baby girl. After 51 pics and the baby smiling, yawning and sticking out her tongue we were all in love. Once she put her hands over her nose and was peeking around her hands with her eyes open. She smiled, smirked and banged on Mommies stomach. Mike's family in Virginia was able to watch at the same time we did and they toasted with champagne and cigars as we are all so excited. The place we went to was awesome and set up beautiful. It was an expierence I would advise for anyone who is as excited as we are to see that beautiful baby.
I think Jaci is next on the delivery list.....8 1/2 weeks to go and counting!!!!!
Nola Grace Broadus is at 24 weeks in the belly (and boobs, and booty, etc.)...
This is our first and I'm 29...
I would've continued to ride but I have the RH Factor thing and my Doc informed me that I may under no circumstances perform any risky tasks. I tried to convince my hubby that running Nikki is not risky but he did not agree! Not at all! And the colts were certainly out of the question! So all of mine are in the pasture barefoot and fat!
I told someone the other day that I intended to be at the Mega and they laughed hysterically. I didn't think it was funny at all! I'll show them!
I have had a super easy pregnancy... Haven't been sick a day and can still wear my jeans (but why would I when I can wear elastic waistbands and everyone thinks its cute!!!)
I registered for a cage so I can put her in it in a safe place at the barn when I'm riding! Sounds bad but my sister did it and rode during nap times and she was back on in no time at all! My husband played golf (professionally for a while) and so my in-laws have never been near horses in their lives... They think I'm a little whacky! They would prefer I not even go to the barn! Here's the link to the "cage" because you know you all want one, LOL...

Congratulations everybody!!! BTW... Is anyone else craving a margarita? Ha! Now you are! Sorry, that was mean! <(++)>
They say June 4th but that would mean that I carried for 10 months... I'm going with May 19th. Mother's intuition.
I thought of a better word than "cage"... Let's go with "roundpen". Sounds a little less likely to get CPS called on me.
Cody... Apparently they can only give you the shot twice during pregnancy. If I were to have an accident I would have to have it immediately and they already intend to give it to me twice so that's were I can't take the extra risks. Anytime my Doc tells me I should be weary of something I listen because she has been very liberal about everything so far.

Wow all girls. I do know a barrel racer who is pregnant and having a boy..
Mary Roberts Burt She is due sometime the later of March I think...
Mark Burt is her husband he is the video master for NBHA.... :)/\\
Brooke..........that is how I was with Jaycee, gained everything in the 5 and 6 month, then it stopped! I am hoping for a repeat myself. We have started every two week also!! Fun Fun!! I have read and been told that stretch marks are hereditary. I didn't do anything special with Jaycee and didn't get any, and none this go around either!! The count down is on...........about 11 or 12 weeks here!! :)/\\
Good luck to all you first timers with the no stretch marks. Majority of this is determined by genetics, so it doesn't matter how much lotion you put on, lol. I did really well with my first - no stretch marks during the entire pregnancy until the last month!
I start my 24th week tomorrow. So I should be starting my 3rd trimester pretty soon. The 1st dragged on, but the 2nd has flown by.

Ok -- help me out ;) I'm assuming its genetic from our Mom's side? Or do we inherit more of that tendancy from our Dad's side. Please say from my Mom's side :)/\\
Well, shows how far out of the loop I am!!! Guess I won't be seeing Brook running at Gladewater this year huh!!!!!
I delivered Trevor Andrew Burt Friday, March 27, at 12:41 pm. He weighed in at 8 lbs 10.6 oz and he is 20.87 inches long with dark hair.He is a full pound bigger than what my doctor and I were expecting. He is gorgeous!! I'll get Mark to post some pics when he gets a chance. We came home yesterday around 3:00 pm.
Here's one more for Team Blue!! We found out that we are having a boy. What's that make Cody? 5 boys in august?
Hello everyone!!
We can add another one to the list...Hubby & I found out Saturday that we're expecting! This will be our first & we are super excited! We go to the doctor on the 28th for our first visit, which will put me at 9 weeks. We can't wait until then! I just ask that you guys pray that everything continues to go smoothly - so far I have felt great!
Congrats to all that are expecting & those whose bundles have already arrived! I'm thrilled to be in the mommy club!
God Bless,
Brandi Allen
I have my (hopefully last) sono on Tues. I'm ready to be done with this pregnancy now. lol Only a month to go. She's killing my ribs and I can't get comfortable anywhere.
Cute pics of the baby girl!!!
I got a good giggle at N'side Saturday night. One of the guys that Brad judges with said "Hey -- what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" I didnt have the heart to tell him we were already 'that way' before we went to Vegas but it made me laugh. We didnt know we were yet, thank GOODNESS the other couple with us backed out at the last minute on riding all the roller coasters our last day there. I was disappointed but not enough to ride them by myself. Not scared to, just boring standing in line without people I know.
C'mon Dina -- you know you want one!! hahaha

Probably too much information but...
That's actually what happened with us! Went to Vegas for R&R the first weekend of September, came home with a baby in my belly! Ha! My Aunt who lives in Vegas had a t-shirt made for me that says "What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas" with an arrow pointing at my belly! It's pretty funny!
Hey ladies!!
We went to the doctor yesterday for our first appointment. I was 8 weeks, which means I'm due December 1st!! We didn't get to hear the heartbeat yesterday, but was able to see it beating away in there...it was so precious! The look on Hubby's face was priceless! I hope everyone is feeling great, and that everything goes smoothly for you guys!
CodyH...May 29th is my parents anniversary! :)
Good luck & God Bless!

Ok - big news ;-) brad talked to NICU just a minute ago. B2 took his entire noon feeding from a bottle! That's huge! I'm so sad I missed it, I'm at the house with carpet guys. B is coming home so I can be there for 3pm feeding. Keep praying y'all - they're working!! They told us his brain wouldn't know how to nurse until probably around 35-36week mark. This is such a surprise. Yay - go baby go!!YEAHHH!!! He'll be home before ya know it!!!
