Keep Ben in your prayers
« on: July 06, 2007, 12:26:37 AM »
With the money we got from the trailer Tamet has decided get more therapy for Ben. I seems as though Ben is getting worst. He is wanting to pinch or bite every time I get near him. He pulled a handfull of out hair out of my head on the way home yesterday for no good reason. He will not eat when I am setting at the table he will just try to hit or pinch me instead of eating. Pinching may not sound so bad but he can put a huge bruise on you in the blink of an eye. I am getting tired of fighting him it has been going on for weeks now. While you are at it pray for me too.

This came to me while chopping wood the other day. You've heard don't sweat the small stuff. I say save it for later and use it for kindling

Hang in there Bob. It seems like you always have miraculous break-throughs after one of these hellacious periods. Here's a hug to get you through it.  (((((((HUGS))))))))

Yes, everyone please keep Ben in your prayers.  Mel you are exactly right.  We do get tremendous break throughs when we run into these roadblocks.  But hey, I am a constructionist and am always looking for routes around these barriers that Ben wants to through up, then I hook a line on him as I pass around him and drag him with me as I go around it, he has no choice but to get on the bus and take the ride.   <ROCKON>

Its hard for Bob and he has been doing really good, he goes to therapy with us on Thurs (we go Monday and Thursday for 3 hrs ea day).  Ben is improving and he isnt happy about it!  By improving, I mean we are getting more control of his behavior and these strikes are his only way right now of showing his displeasure at changing his world and altering his control of it.

So, definetely pray for Bob and Ben both, pray for Bob to stay the course and pray for Ben to make this next BIG step to getting closer to functioning in a normal fashion.

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

I pray this is another break through and Ben is trying to cope with his new found ideas.  He understands more and is letting you know even if it is a painful way.  Just hang in there for the good results.

May God Bless you and give you strength and understanding.

Praying for each and every one of you.  I can only imagine what you are each going through.  One thing though, you have all shown how strong you are.  Remember we have a mighty God for strength and comfort. <(' ')>
