SKELETON IN AN AD
« on: July 20, 2007, 01:53:33 PM »
CAN YOU BELIEVE SOMEONE WOULD RUN AN AD WITH A SKELETON LIKE THIS?  THEY NEED TO BE TURNED IN FOR ABUSE....I DID NOT POST ANY PHONE NUMBERS FOR THIS AD BUT IF ANY ONE WOULD WANT TO RESCUE IT, SEND ME A PM AND I'LL TELL YOU THE WEBSITE IT'S AT.  MAKES ME SICK TO SEE THIS STUFF.

13 yr old great riding mare needs good home Description
This is a 13 yr old horse we just don't ride any more. She will rope off of, work cows, ride Mardi gras, and do anything you want with her. She needs a good home where someone will feed her well and ride her. She's 15 hands high, works great with farrier, no bad habits, $500.00.

NO KIDDING SHE NEEDS SOMEONE THAT WILL FEED HER WELL....OOOOOHHHH I'm on a terror now.....I feel like going and looking at her myself just to see if she really is this bad.  Man I don't need to rescue another one...I just did about 3 weeks ago...don't regret it, but I can't rescue all of them.  Makes me sick..

Yeah you can do what you want off of her because she is 1/2 starved to death.  Where is PETA when you really need them?

I guess I would like to give the people the benefit of the doubt.  Maybe they rescued her and are trying to find her a home.

<IMSOMAD>  Where is that horse located?  They need to have charges brought against them for cruelty towards an animal!  Now, I'm no PETA person, or a treehugger, but I believe that if you have a responsibility, (the horse) you should take care of it, and if you can't, find someone who will.  But that is aweful that they are trying to make a buck off that horse, when she aparently needs a good home, ESPECIALLY one that will feed her!  :!

Yeah....I'd like to think that too, but wouldn't you have put that in your ad?

Yes, if it was a rescue they took in, they would have said that in their ad.  I've done that before, taken in a rescue and put it in an add, but all information about his being neglected and rescued was in the ad.  And I had pictures to show the progress he was making.  So I would think they would have said something if that were the case.

Kinder, LA.

After reading the ad, saying they just don't ride her any more, I sent them a very blunt email telling them that I will take her but I will not pay for her and that they should be reported for abuse.  I will let you know if they reply.

Ok if anyone else needs the information on this mare, please ask Sherry or someone else that has responded.  I am about to leave for the weekend and will not have computer access.  I can tell you this much....the ad is on www.southeasttexas.com page 2 of the horses ad.

Let us know what they say Sherry!  I hope they will give her to you, at least you could offer her a good place where she will get fed!

They are no rocket scientists if they were stupid enough to run that add with such a picture.  Alright, everyone.....give them a piece of your mind. <IMSOMAD>
