babysitting wow i just now caught this

ok im babysitting my nephew for my sister till they get a house and a babysitter and til i get a job she said she will pay me i said ok cool, she said $10  a day $50 a week, well just the other day I was thinking(i do that sometimes lol) and she is paying  $1 an hour. total rip off, what should i do should i tell her or keep it to my self. Ill feel bad doing it though cz they are looking to rent a house and i don't want to take all their money  what should i do

I pay $90 a week at a daycare... so maybe w/family that's not to bad...is it a good kid at least?

Some friends of ours pays $40 a day per kid and they have two kids

I pay $195.00 a week for two kids.

I would say that it is not bad pay but If it is not enough for you just tell her that $ 50.00 is not enough for you and that you would like to work on an agreed price.

I pay my mom $25.00 a week per kid. I have 3 kiddos.

he's a good kid when im here just me but when people start coming he gets more fussy. he is 3 my mom said also to talked to her about $100 a week.

I paid $150 dollars a week for two at daycare, but they were constantly calling to come get one of them for runny noses, fever, etc. and I still had to pay AND take off work.  I now have them in private daycare with a family member and pay $200 per week for the two and she feeds them.  Thought the increase was well worth peace of mind and NO phone calls to take off work.  I think $70-$85 is going rate for a daycare but they get money from the government to help also.

I PAY $150 A WEEK FOR 3 KIDS IN MY HOME.  I FURNISH HER BREAKFAST AND LUNCH.  IF SHE TAKE THE KIDS ANYWHERE I PAY HER GAS.

Are you asked to do any housework or just sit and meet the needs of your nephew?  I would think it would depend on if they ask you to do additional chores around the house.

well see thats were its long but to make it short they don't have ahgouse to live in so her and her husband are sharing a room with me, so they live with me and my mom, and while everyone is out dong their jobs im watching him and cleaning the house, but also applying for jobs online cuz i don't got a car to go any where, so yeah lol, but they live here with us and i stay here and watch him. for them

I think that it is a hard situation. If they are having money troubles then you don't have many options and a little money is better than no money.

yeah, that's true but instead of paying me they are buying ringtones for their cell phones, toys for my nephew, which i guess is ok, and buying things they really don't need.
