Dad hates Boyfriend, what should I do

Ok so my dad hates my boyfriend with all his power, and my dad and everyone might be at  the banquet sunday, and me my boyfriend and my mom is  going oh he hates my mom 2, what should i do. he said he won't talk to me if i with either of them, what shoould I do just incase he's at the banquet, he said their not going but we have a feeling they might be

Go to the banquet with your Mom and boyfriend, I'm assuming your Mom is OK with this. Be yourself, have a good time and if your Dad shows up and choses not to talk to you, so be it. Don't talk about him, try to push things or act immature in any way. Act like a grown up and have a good time. It will be his loss.

well he says he "might" be going...so if you go without your  b/f and/or your mom, and u are by yourself, and he does not show up, then you are all alone, right? and none of your family gets to enjoy you receiving your awards..i'd think alittle is better than none.. if it was me, i'd go with my mom  and/or my boyfriend...i would think my dad was being selfish and he would be the one that would have to deal with it..it would be his problem to deal with, he's mad or whatever, he deals with it, not you...but thats just my opinion...others may view it differently..good luck and congradulations anyway >PEACE<

yeah thank you, well that is where my dad act immature and a kid himself, by making a scene in front of everyone yelling and makig thing bigger than they are, i talk to him like an adult should and not yell, but he still continues to yell. so i don't put up with it.

the best thing to do is not yell, and no matter how upset your are on the inside, dont let it come on the outside while he is around..you be the BIGGER person here.. bite your tongue, whatever.. go read some of Lady JocKy posts and it will ease your mind and help you (((((((HUGS))))))))

If he will not talk to you as an adult then just turn around and walk off calmly-that will show more maturity than anything else. 
I think he probably just wants to rattle you by telling you he "might" come.  Don't worry just enjoy your night-you worked hard for it.

You know the good Lord blesses each of us with 2 opportunities to have a parent/child relationship.  It is entirely up to him to have a relationship with you and a darn shame he is wasting that God given opportunity.  His lose.  You will get your second opportunity and the important thing will be, How will you handle yourself then?  Make sure you dont waste yours like he is wasting his.

no i tried having a relationship with him , but he told me if your going to dat ehim then i don't want either of you on my property only to get the rest of your stuff, i was like omg. well i still love you and respect you your my dad so..................
