I would if the location was better....didn't like it in the 80's and it is not in the best part of town, and I don't have a living quarters on my trailer.  My horse is just not ready for that much money yet.  I wish you all the best of luck.

OK, for some of you who want info on going to run barrels at a big stock show....Here it is!!!
1. It is awesome cause you are THE STAR ATTRACTION!!!!
2. Its awesome cause you get to go and shop, maybe get tickets to that night's performance and go watch the pro's run.
3. All the most awesome food you can eat!!!
4. You are at the main attraction for the year for that city!!!!

It is so worth it! I went to Houston 4 years in a row, before they moved it out to Katy and I loved each and every moment of it!!! We had so much fun! I would always go the night before, go to the performance, sleep in my tack stall (next to my saddle and my horse) wake up EARLY and ride in the arena before the show starts...hang out all day and visit....Man, those were the good old days! Yes, I would spend around $300 for a little ribbon, but, we had fun!!! Now that they have a 4D...OMG that is amazing!!!! Man, TJ and I could have spent that $300 and brought home some Money!!!! Too bad though...Now I am an adult and I have to work and cant go. But, I am tell you guys, it is a blast!!!

I work for Jacobs Engineering as a Material Manager and we are doing the HUGE expansion project at Motiva Refinery....have already been here for just over a year for the first part and now starting the 2nd phase.....will be here probably at least 2 more years....

Is the barrel race going to be in the Coliseum or is going to be in the Horse Barn where the futurity is usually held??

There will be awards given for each day...not average awards.  Embroidered blankets, bronc halters, buckles, and more!   :()&

The Youth Scholarships will be given on the two day average.
