Early Dec 2007 Update
« on: December 06, 2007, 09:27:29 AM »
Well I tried to add Co Q 10 this week and it seemed to be giving him problems so I took him off of that also.   Guess I will just leave him at what he is taking for now.   He is doing good, repeating ALLL sorts of words and riding his mower like crazy.   We took him to Temple yesterday (wed Dec 5th) to see an allergist about all the snot that was in his stomach.

He found that Ben had a little inflamation in his nostrils so put him on Nasonex, once a day and pulled blood to send to Mayo Clinic to see if he had any allergies (didnt do the pinprick on the back because we did that in 03 - he showed nothing postive).  Dont expect much from the results but have to make sure.   He said if everything was okay on the results he would see Ben in 2 months and see if the nasonex has helped the inflamation.

I should be hearing from the Gastro guys any day now, I talked Dr Pohl into doing a Colonoscopy due to Bens constipation and impaction issues.  Im wondering, since there is inflamation in his sinuses if there is any in his colon, interesting.   The two are connected, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Anyway, he is doing good.

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

He has been rocking along.   He isnt happy with me these days.   He thinks if I am in the room that he has to go to the bathroom every 5 mins.   So that is a behavior we are addressing.

Anyway, he is saying words like crazy, we are working on consanants and consanant combinations.   He is doing good too!!!!

We took him to Walmart a couple of weeks ago and he was great for about the walk all the way back to the video section then decided to test the accoustics in the store.   So, needless to say Ben and I headed back to the truck.   Well, last week we took him into town 2x's to get him out of the house and get some walking done since it was nasty and he couldnt ride his mower or walk around the yard.   We went into Walmart and were in there a good hr, then we went to the health food store and then on to HEB.   He did great!    We actually did that twice last week.

So, when we went to pick Joseph up yesterday (he stayed with a friend all weekend) we decided to stop by the arena and see how Millies
Crash and Burn Benefit was going.   When we pulled up he was pushing on the door to get out.   He wanted to go see some tractors!!!!!   He did really good, he sat for a while and watched tractors.    We were happy, he is slowly getting back to where he was.   Now we can get back into therapy with him.

He goes in for his colonoscopy on the 17th of Jan.   If we find nothing wrong I will be glad.   If we find something wrong I will be releived to know there was some cause that I can attack with a vengence.   Its the ???????  and not knowing that eats me up.

He is doing great, outside with his tabagon on, heavy sweat shirt and riding the mower.    I just had to stop him so he could take half his meds this morning.
