 rofl well we went to tractor supply and bout some vet wrap and poultice pad to wrap up cyclones leg and im just hoping he keeps it on tonigt!

Just remember, you can never have too much padding between the leg and vet wrap!!! And, always wrap toward the horse.....

Yay i did it right! and i put a poultice pad on the cut and put cut n heal on the cut and we are going to give him some penicillin tomorrow but no one knows how to give a horse a $@&* any tips?

Stick to the neck and get the air out of the syringe...then, rub the area and stick, draw back to make sure you are not in the vein, and push slow..... then rub to get the meds good into the muscle!!!

If you give too much penicillin in the neck though they get really sore.......................Just be careful......................If you have to give it a bunch you might consider the rump too..................I can't give Deezy shots, its weird......................she swells up wherever I give it.............. <..> <..>

Um, yeah, the rump is another option, but, It will line you up for a swift kick!!! Gabe will get you for sure if you come near his but with anything!!! Even a Thermometer!!! Shoot, i dont think i have had luck with any of my ponies on the rump....But, if you do 15cc on one side of the neck and 15 on the other, then rotate around, they do pretty good...

OK, i have to tell you to google it....But, there is a "triangle" where you can stick it!!!! Its below the top muscle of the neck, in front of the withers by about 6 inches and 6 inches north of the bottom of the neck....and like 10 inches from the head.....
