Janet thanks so much for getting the info for us. We have been going crazy trying to find out how Rebecca was doing. Please tell your friend to tell her family that we are praying for her and her family. Rebecca is a wonderful beautiful girl and i know she will pull through this. PLease let us know if there is anything we can do.

I have been in touch with one of their friends.  As of noon today, a team of neorologists had looked at both the CT scan and the MRI.  When her family has talked to her, she is responding by raising her fingers when asked.  This is a very good sign.  They are trying to awaken her and she did open her eyes briefly this morning.  So, her mother is very encouraged by that.  Right now, we don't know any more but it looks like there may be a long road to recovery for her.  Please keep Rebecca, Kara, Brandon and Brian in your prayers.

I just talked to Kim Surls to get the latest update.  Rebecca is still not awake but they are hoping to take her off of the ventilator today.  She continues to be very active and responds when her family talks to her.  At this time, they are asking for no visitors to come to the hospital.  Rebecca is still in ICU and the family area is not very big.  However, if you would like to send something to the family, it can be sent to the Henderson County Extension Office in Athens or you can wait until Rebecca is moved to a private room.  Continue to pray for her full recovery and that the family continues to get encouraging news and gets their much needed rest!

Does anyone know the status of the horses that were involved?  I had heard that she was riding a fairly new one but I could be mistaken.
