Prayers to the Barber's
« on: April 28, 2008, 05:44:33 PM »
My husband got a call today that Lane & Loren Barber's daddy,Buddy, passed away today. Lane & Loren ride saddle bronc horses. They both high school & college rodeo'ed and were and or members of UPRA.
Prayers go to Loren, Lane and Kathy. They are a good family and Buddy will be greatly missed.

how do people get thru life without a horse?

They are.  From around the Longview/Marshall/Kilgore area. . . can't remember exactly where though.  They are wonderful people from what I remember.

It is sad.  Mr. Barber was a wonderful man by all accounts that I remember.  Though, I will say that I never visited with him a whole lot. . . my brother and I hauled together and we met the Barbers when we'd haul over to Marshall.

That was a long time ago. . .. I'm afraid to admit how long, though.  I grew up northeast of Jacksonville, moved to Stephenville for a while, but have been here for right at ten years. . . .

My heart and many prayers go out to the family.  I will have to call my brother and let him know.  I think he'd gotten to know Lane a lot better than I, as he was a bull rider.

Buddy, if I rememer correctly had a car dealership in Kilgore. They all moved to Paris where the boys were breaking horses from what I heard last.
