debhorses, $25,000 cash and he is yours!  LOL  I had several people ask me if he was for sale last weekend at CTBRA and that is the price I told them.  We cruised a 22.1 on the poles and I messed up the second end pole.  We made a really nice barrel run with a 16.643 and were in the bottom of the 2-D until Jordan Peterson came in on Jester and ran a 15.568.  The closest time to her was a 15.8.  He is doing great!

Also, if I sold him, I would not have a horse to run.  My bay horse and I are just starting to get together so I would not spend that kind of money to run him there.

Ok let me see if cover all of the questions you guys asked so far...

The $8,000 added will be split equally between the three races (two go's and finals round) in the Open 4D this year (that way we spread the wealth!)

Pattern set up will NOT be huge (takes too long!)

We have lots of people already entering, some may look at it like you get more "bang for your buck", meaning one trip of fuel equals several runs over the 4 day period.

And check it out...POLES AGAIN!!!!  I love poles & have had some folks calling about the show just because we are having poles!!!!  Cool!  I will add money to the poles class this year too (depends on number of entries) and I am sure we will get some cool stuff sponsored again for prizes...working on it daily!

and a real alley, not the run into the gate stuff and no room to get any speed up to the first barrel.

We will more than likely use the permanent alley this year, we may use panels for the tractors to sit behind at the end of the pen (on the third barrel end of the arena).

GBA you know Shelley is going to have the pattern set up to make it go faster and smoother.  You have been to enough of her barrel races.  Just enter!!!!  You know we have fun!

As far as the alley issue's I have been there when they ran from the back and when they ran from inside with the holding pens.  Either way works well and she will make sure it is safe and fair to everyone.  As far as that goes, please do not tar and feather me over this, most of us have been to WBR's and you come from a holding pen, so I am not understanding why the WBR does not get this much controversy for each one of their barrel races!?

that is one horse i miss. he is truly a consistent horse and never really hits. I might have hit 3 barrels and a few poles when I owned him. Most were my fault cause i was not letting him work

Cowboy is the most consistent horse I have ever had.  In the almost 3 years I have had him, we have never hit a barrel.  We hit a few poles in the beginning because I had to learn to let him do it and leave him alone.  I can't remember the last time we hit a pole.  I feel sure he will never leave me, especially since we are moving up into the 2-D now!

ya i had to figure that out in poles to. i wouldnt let him do the work and we would hit. if i would just sit there well we wouldnt have a problem. i have always been good at training pole horses.

Joleta, I like the two holding pens and the alley inside.  I think it makes it go faster..........................It's really organized that way.  I hope it is the same way as last year.  Thought everything was great.  Just needed more help............... >THUD< >THUD<
