galveston is gonna be the next new orleans after this. i got a foward text message earlier. it said what does IKE stand for? I Kill Everyone. i would love to know who would come up with such a message

my sister has a house on the strand that is one of the historic ones that survived the 1900 hurricane.  They just showed the Strand being 1' under water . Her place is on the 3rd floor.  I kinda wish (if I knew for sure I wouldn't be hurt)  I could be up there watching the storm blow in. she has all but one window boarded up and it was something they couldn't get too so hopefully she wont have any damage.   Megan...where are you?  I'm in Cleveland...still no rain yet but the sun has stopped shining

I'm worried that if the power goes down in Houston, we won't have any power up here. We get our electricity off the power grid that runs out of Houston. My husband says he thinks they have cross-gridded to eliminate that possibility, but I don't know.  <(::)>
