Destry, please know that you are in my prayers.  They are coming to get Dara in a few minutes for surgery.  She is scheduled for 7:00AM.  They have given us 2 options, wire the jaw for 10 weeks, or put in a metal plate and wire the jaw for 10 days and get back to normal in as little as 4 weeks.  Of course she wants to wire her jaw, we want her to get back to normal as quickly as possible.

Maybe you and her can recover together, and decide what is the best pureed food.  She says don't try the pureed turkey it stinks.

Just know that you are in our prayers, the surgeons are in our prayers also.  Debra Abbott

Destry is going in right now for surgery, he was sitting and writing notes to everybody.   Corky said it would be a few hrs and he would let us know how he was.

Thanks for the updates, keep them coming, that way, we all know what is going on, and not have to keep calling Corky.

Continuing prayers from my place, too.  You feel so helpless when one of your friends are hurt.

Please know that prayers are with you both daily.

Talked to Corky and everything went fine.   There was more damage than they initially thought so he ended up with a plates and screws and his mouth wired shut for 6 to 8  weeks.   Hopefully he will be coming home by thurs.
