Tamet, hold onto your seat pretty lady. Yes there is going to be some changes, alot of them and they are long overdue. I know the president can't change everything....I don't expect him to. However, what is it? 2 years we've had a Democratic Senate and I guess you think it took them that amount of time to get the banks to all agree on selling bad paper? Come on, 2 years of mortgages cause economic recession for the globe... I don't think so Tamet. I don't think it started long ago, proposed by the Republicans to allow the big boys to do what they wanted without government oversight......that's when we the American people were handed over like sheep to the slaughter.
It has never been about color to me, I have half black nephews, I have half hispanic grandchildren.......I am mixed myself ( red hair-blue eyes)but mixed nevertheless.......but I am an American.....Oh about my mixing....I lost count of the races in my ancestry....Obama is not a "BLACK MAN" to me, he is just a man with great ideas. I grew up in a very "white" very typical white community, hehehe :ROFL2: of the south :cheeze: I overcame it :cheeze:

Do I support the lazy crack heads....oh the hand over the cash to the idiots of this nation? NOOOOOO! Do I support a mother, who's husband has left her with 3 little kids and of course there is not enough cash to pay the bills and medical care....?? You BETTCHA! Are there people who abuse this.....YOU BETTCHA, but did Jesus say he wasn't dying for them because there were people who wouldn't care that he did? NO, He said Father forgive them......and that is exactly what we are suppose to do.....

We shall see........   We all have no choice now, but to watch and participate if we are to be Americans.    I will continue to fight the things I have been fighting and support those that I see as beneficial.   

His color was never an issue with me, I myself have American Indian running around in my blood, so, that I could care less about.   His socialistic views are my greatest concern.   We are all on this rollercoaster now, we shall all see how the ride is.   

Well one thing I do know Tamet, is we never had a "great" choice.....pick your poision when it comes to politicians and that has always been my stance. When it all comes down to it, it is always our responsibility what happens in our lives regardless of who is President. If it comes down to it.....you can count me in on having your back....I'll have your back with a gun....I am an American. I ain't skeered

BEcause I had a dream that McCain won......I was thinking dang America is headed for more of the same......What people don't understand is the fact that under Republician Presidents and Senate.....the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. Under Democratic Presidents, that gap begins to be less wider. Why? Because they stop allowing the rich to have lessor taxes than the poor....IT is absolutely rediculous that my family, who are blue collar workers......Old Joe the Plumbers, pay right at 50% of their income on taxes....Overtime is working for Uncle Sam and they don't make over $250,000 a year.....So the BLue collar man is who pays for welfare and Obama is gonna change that and put that burden on the rich and it's about hightime!

Uggg, you just don't get it.  As Tamet stated, it was a Democartic controlled senate (which means they have the power) leading up to and during this financial crisis,  a democratic senate that voted down a bill that would have regulated banks, that let social security get into a deeper mess.  I don't think John McCain was as strong of a republican candidate as we needed and the blame for the  mess we are in doesn't fall strictly down party lines, but why in the world anybody would want to vote in a candidate which is promoting more government and taking more of everyone's money (he changed his tax increase level from $250K to $100K).  The same folks are steering the Titanic and you want to give them a bigger boat??  
People of higher incomes already pay progressively more taxes than those of lower income.  I am afraid that this sense of "entitlement " is going to get out of hand.  We will see how many promises he really delivers.  You know if his philosophy applied to barrel racing, associations would have to add rules that if you run in the 1d then at the next race you have to let a 4D placer ride your horse because it is not fair that the 4D placer can't afford to go buy a 1D horse or does not have the time or ability to raise and train a 1d horse, we will switch horse's at every race".

What people don't understand about "Change is coming"..... I have friends that work at Lock Keyed, when he shuts down the defense (making the planes) people will be out of work.  Lots of them>>........How is that making people more money.  1000's of people out of work...... 
Taxing the big cooperations........ and not taxing the middle class or lower class.......what do you think will happen when he does that.  The big cooperations will raise their prices on their products and send it down the line for us to have to pay higher prices for food, clothes, and etc....... How does that help us...  We are in a world of hurt.  I don't know what is going to happen, but I am afraid it isn't going to be good.  I know I'll be stocking up on guns and amo before the first of the year and hiding it out so they can't take it from me.  We will be needing it.  What I don't understand is how Americans could vote someone in that was not born in the US.  Obama is not going to allow any new drilling in the US, but depend on foreign oil to supply our country.... Whats wrong with that.  Gas prices will sky rocket up so high that we will be riding our horses to work if we can afford to keep and feed them.  You think the attendence has dropped out the big shows now? just wait and see how it is when he takes office.  I am trying to think about what will happen.  It makes me sick at my stomach just sitting here thinking about it.  We are "ONE NATION UNDER GOD"? ? ? ?   Right now we are.  I prayed and prayed last night as the polls were closing that God would help us out of this.  God help us all right now.  We will all need it.... :\\(((

WELL PUT! And as I was always told:

Give it to God. None of should be worrying as it helps nothing and only makes you ill. God will take care of His people if His people will just trust in Him! I watched the Obama speech this morning (from last night)...and he did finish with, "We are One Nation Under God! God Bless the people"

Seems to me the only ones that are really crying are the ones who have a lot more money than the rest of us! I have worked all of my life (hard) and I do taxes...and personally I am fed up with having to anny up while the rich keep getting richer!

Everywhere, and everyone I talk to is now discussing we have a black president now....I never considered him black....i considered him a candidate for president, and now he is.  I only wish our solutions were as easy to see and printed in black and white.  I am only fearing
the unknown....from a person I did not support as president.  My candidate will not win everytime.  Just like my horse will not win everytime.
I am going to look at his presidency more along the lines of a "green" horse....it will take hauling, good advice and good trainers to make him
a winner in my book.  I hope he succeeds for all of us in this country.  I hope that his battles go easily, and he gets good advisors and has
a great run....there is nothing we can do except be patriotic and support him at this point and that is what i intend to do until I see him screw

Laura you are so right.... god has a plan... do I like it nope... but i know that its best to let my opinion step aside and let god take over.. I hope for the best... Rather we like it or not Obama is the President. All we can do now is hope it isn't going to be as bad as we all think.  We just have to pray about it and hope for the best.

For those of you who prayed so hard for God to help us......? God generally answers prayers.....we generally don't agree with God when he answers prayer. I say he answered your prayers, you will have to wait on him to show you how it is in his scheme of things. I trust God, not Obama. I trust God, even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil for he is with me. What can man do to me? I do not fear man, for I have the Lord of hosts on my side. If you are of faith, then act like it!!!!!!!!
Stop your belly aching and whining, stand up and stand on your faith. This is rediculous thinking that one man can send God's faithful into terrors. DEAR GOD!!!!! How do you know that Obama is not God's answer? I guess you are like the Israelites who retreated before the giant Goliath. Boy! When little David went forth, they rediculed him.....but he believed in the Lord of hosts. Although things may seem totally out of ordinary for you, can you have faith that God is with you and if God is with you, who can stand against you? If you die it is of no importance, but what you die for is!
I believe God shall not be mocked, he does not lead with an iron fist, he leads the lion and the bear with a small child.
