I was saddened to hear this news... <(' ')> I remember her from the QH shows many, many years ago when her and Billy were showing... I remember she had the prettiest buckskin with a mane that seemed to hang down to his knees... I thougth it was a reiner... Nope.. Western Pleasure horse!  She showed him at Seguin in the pleasure class.. (and you know how persnikty those pleasure folks are) His mane was just a flowing as he loped down the rail... HE WON THE CLASS! That stood out in my mind that she broke the mold and still got it done! Wonderful lady who I'm sure will be greatly missed by her huge extended family as well as her loved ones close to her

We are all still in shock...we lost Jean and the woman with her only got a broken nose.  It shows that when God calls you home it is your time to go.... so - be ready.  Jean was ready - she loved her family everyday like it was the last. She had a true sense of her Lord and Savior and where he was in her life.  You always knew where you stood with Jean - if you didn't you, weren't listening as she durn sure told you...lol No punches with Ms. Jean!  She would bend over backwards to help anyone at anytime.  She will be greatly missed by all.

My heartfelt prayers for Sherry, Reno and Mario!!!!  xoxoxoxo  We will see her again!!! For now we will have the stories of her legend to tell over and over again!

Well said Aunt B!!

I know Jean said this was going to be her last trip to the NFR, I think she said she has been going for 15 yrs!  I will truly miss her!  I enjoyed out long conversations and I can still her voice in the back of my head.  What a sweet lady that we all admired!  >SNIFF<

So sorry for the the loss of what sounds like a wonderful lady.  I didn't know her, but I know she will be missed by many.  It sounds like she touched a lot of lives during her time here on earth.  Many prayers for her family.   <(' ')>
You can go and worry about the competition, and worry whether your horse will work, or whether you've selected the right bridle.  But if you've done your homework, you should be able to go out and just enjoy your ride.---The late cutting horse trainer Greg Ward of Tulare, California.

My sister in Magnolia phoned me this past weekend to give me this terrible news.  We grew up rodeoing with she and her family and have known them for generations.  Just so very sad to lose this remarkable, vibrant woman.  We send our condolences from Maui, Theresa (formerly Dean).
