Prayer for Donald Cantwells Dad (Pam husband) - updated
« on: December 19, 2008, 08:32:16 AM »
Donald's Dad is not expected to make it through the night. They think it may have been a stroke. He is 80 years old. We are on our way back up to the hospital in Austin.

I'm so sorry Pam.  There is never a "good" time for something like this, but right before Christmas makes it that much worse.  Ya'll are in my prayers.
You can go and worry about the competition, and worry whether your horse will work, or whether you've selected the right bridle.  But if you've done your homework, you should be able to go out and just enjoy your ride.---The late cutting horse trainer Greg Ward of Tulare, California.

They just did an MRI on Donald's Dad and there was nothing there to give him hope. They are removing all life sustaining equipment and nourishment now. We are headed back to the hospital. Pls say a prayer for his 7 kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He had a good Christian life and a long life and that's a good thing. We will all have wonderful memories of him and are all in agreement that it's time to let him go.

My deepest sympathy to all of Donald's family.  It is so hard when a parent passes.

However, just think, he is celebrating Jesus' birthday right there with Him!  How grand is that?!?!
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea!

Donald's Dad passed peacefully this morning at 2:30 am. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers, they were very much appreciated by all of us. We are all thankful for the time we had with him and have shared many good stories at his bedside for the last 5 days. Although we will miss him, all are at peace and comforted through your prayers.
