The horse Renee was riding yesterday at the University Center (also known as Shining M) in Monticello fell on her and broke her leg. They took her to the hospital to have it set, but I don't know anything else. She was the second rider to fall at that barrel. The NBHA folks did everything they could to help the arena, but it was just a bad barrel until they ripped the ground up after her run.
Just prayers for a speedy recovery and thanks that the accident wasn't any worse! Hopefully she'll be healed up and ready to run by the time April gets here and barrel season really kicks off around here.
