My mom was with Levi this morning, and going back down there now. I am leaving in a bit to go sit with him for a while.
So far in Day 4---He is standing right now. Has been on IV two times today. He is in a big lot and not trying to roll.
He either lays down on his side or with his feet under him or he stands. Blood panel came back good today---no toxicity
for now so that's a good sign altho he can't go 5-6 days like this total or that will change quickly. The next 24 hours are
vital. Has been oiled once again....no bowel movement. Total impaction on right side--but as far as we can tell no twist.
Vet says he is real depressed acting. And he is tired but not in pain because of the many meds so far. Vital sign and heart
rate is good. Wants to eat hay and a few oats, drinking water. (Levi is a glutton when it comes to eating and I can assure
you he doesn't know when to say "when"...so to me that is normal for him and not a sign that he feels better.)
I am fixing to head out and take my coveralls and sit in a chair with him in his pen for a while I think....I don't know if it will make him
feel better, but it might make me feel better or maybe not. It truly is in God's hands at this point. Keep praying please...I need
