This from a retiree friend in Central Texas.

 

I sat, as did millions of other Americans, and watched as their government underwent a peaceful transition of power a couple of months
past.  At first, I felt a pride and patriotism as I watched Barack Obama take his Oath of office.  However, all that pride quickly vanished
as I later watched 21 Marines, in full dress uniform with rifles, fire a 21-gun salute to the President.

It was then, in horror, that I realized how far America 's Military had deteriorated.

Every last one of them missed.

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.
