Anymore I feel its just as tuff at a rodeo as a large race. But in my opinion, a lot of the time I've found that the open rodeos aren't as tough as a big race. I know the 4th is always a tuff run but we will see what they are made of real fast with about 5 runs in 3 days, slack and all. If for some reason I don't go to a rodeo over the 4th, I'm thinking wrappin3 myself! Lol! Haven't gotten to go to one of them and they sound so fun.
If you reach the bottom of a barrel, find another barrel.

I know what you mean.  I just don't give myself enough credit sometimes...........nor my pony..............Yes, the wrapn3 would be close for me.  I was looking at the ads, not sure what I want to do.  Sulphur is $5000 added and not as far as Louisiana.  There is a big race where I grew up so I don't know if I want to go there to see my family.  I just keep thinking of the diesel $$$$..........sucks..............Also I think they will set a short first barrel and Deezy Do can't stand it.  I need to go where I can run to the first............

Debi Do.........yes when Angela and them put them on there is a run to the first.  When the others have put it on it has been a shorter run to the first.  When Jody and I went last year my horse didn't get around the first on 3 runs.........Threw my money away.  I think I have ruled out there cause of that.  At New Iberia I don't have that problem.  The barrels are in the next county. LOL............

I'm flying to Denver and then going to Fort Collins, Colorado for the 4th.  I'm excited...can hardly wait for it to get here!

Marshall is Friday and Saturday, $1,000 on Friday and $4,000 on Saturday BBR approved. Thanks Martha R. for the approval.
Ruston is the same weekend with $3,000 added BBR pending or so their ad says.
I am going to Marshall and then on to Ruston if Ruston is BBR approved, otherwise will come back to the Cowboy Collection arena.
I would rather be in Ruidoso, New Mexico enjoying the cool weather and going to the Smokey Bear Stampede at Capitan, but with fuel prices guess I will stay closer to home.

fuel prices are still cheap to me compared to last year, so that is not going to be a factor where I go.  Good Luck to everyone!

Ya betsy if u don't throw your hat out there you'll never know the outcome. I'm telling ya we went to a bunch of little open rodeos last year and the same folks who won at the jackpots were winning at them as well. If I can pull a 1d jackpot level check looks like I can pull an open rodeo check as well.  You will never know unless you go try. Wear a purdy shirt, pull down your hat and go try.

Laura Loo--Hmm, I might have to throw my hat out there.  What rodeos are you going to?  My pony would have  three more weeks of riding on her.  Send me some information.  I will see what is my way also..............
