Dr. Collier over in Field Store told me Jack was pigeon toed and to leave it alone?  That it wasn't really a problem, and just how he is?

I thought so I just wanted to see if anyone has been told anything different. Thank you Farrier and MM.

Yr welcome, horselady.  Still waiting on farrier's comments, tho!  But I really liked Dr. Collier and felt like he knew his stuff.

A horse that is pigeon toed is always going to be its not a big deal at all .
Its been shown a proved on some horses if you start early with them u can correct it .
When i get to a horse that is pigeon toed I shoe to the foot and they stay sound it looks good and they are just fine to perform .

I agree whew whoo. Glad to hear it, although I pretty much thought so. My mare is 16 and she has always worked well despite it.

Now I'm gonna TEST u hagypoo--
If a horse is going to be pigeon toed--would you rather see a horse that is turned in from the knee all the way down gradually or a horse that starts to turn in from the ankle?? :)

If u are asking which one would i rather shoe . No preference.

If you are asking which is easier to shoe the one turned in from knee down .
reason- when you get the ones that turn from the knee down u have a better view of which tendons are being stressed .
the ankle down you are blind to the travel of the horse.
If you are asking which is better i am going to say neither because more than likely at some point in the horses career you are going to have a problem with the feet or the legs.
My bay mare is 14 and I never had a problem with her hooves or legs.
Cross my fingers.
WBR is coming up !!!!

admit it.  you are addicted to the forum. haha.

I wanted to do more than Harley when you were here at the clinic but I needed to be there with you---
not that I dont trust you---to do Levi.  Hes a special case and I really know him and his feet and what
will work and not work.

by the way....we either traded a tire on that or I owe you.  hehehe.  I forgot as you left.  Long day.
Sorry. :(  See you saturday.  I'll bring him.
