Does anyone know anything about TX 17?
« on: January 11, 2005, 01:44:22 PM »
Just curious if anyone knows who is going to be director this year?  or if there is even going to be a district?

The last I heard someone from Paris was supposed to take it but that was a while ago.  I hadn't heard anymore so I was just wondering.  I may do the 00 thing also.  AR 03 is getting a new director and I haven't heard where and how many shows they will be having.  I'm just looking for somewhere close that I can take some young horses to.

Oh by the way Lisa, I haven't heard anything from what you and I talked about.  Who knows?  I've quit trying to figure that deal out! :!

No, Sulpher Springs is Tx 17, if I remember correctly I-20 is kinda the dividing line on the districts.   I feel for anyone that decides to become a director, having helped Donna with 17, there are some people that you just can't please!!!! :!  I am not sure the Good Lord himself could please these people!!!! rofl

I remember at one show the same woman told us the ground was to wet, then about 20 mins. later the ground was too dry!!!  Then that same day the same woman said the ground was to deep, then after she ran the ground was not deep enough!!!  I think by the end of the day she ended up getting told that no one had held a gun to her head and made her run at that barrel race!!! >:(

I agree with the pleasing people part.  We have some people in our district that you cant please no matter where you run.  What i dont get is if their horses are so awesome that they cant run in certain pens how come you never see them at the big 4d barrelraces. <EXCUSE ME?>
it is Gods responsibilty to forgive the terrorist and it is the US Military's responsibilty to arrange the meeting

Jen, I know exactly who you are talking about!  Could it be that they don't run in the big runs because they can't win?

I don't come, but its not because of the ground.

I may come back this year.

It is quite a way from DeKalb.  We are south Central Texas around Austin.
