Phil Goosetree - How's he doing???

Dear Lord, we ask that You touch Phil with Your healing hands.  Please ease his breathing and give his body strength.  This giant of a man has the heart to match, we are needing You to heal him so that he can be a strong testimony to Your greatness.  Surround him and Carol with supportive, caring people giving them the faith and courage to face this temporary problem knowing that You are in control.  Give his doctors wisdom to do eactly what is needed quickly.  We give you praise for the mighty work You are doing in the Goosetree's lives as we speak.  In Jesus' name, amen!!

Chuck Dunn talked to Carol this evening and there was not any change in Phil's condition. The drs say that it will take close to a week before we can see much change. The next few days will pretty critical for him and he will remain on the ventilator and they are keeping him sedated. Please keep Phil in your prayers. There is great power in prayer!!!

Dear Heavenly Father bless Phil as he is struggling at this moment.  Wrap your loving arms around Phil and send angels to be with him in his room.  We know that You our Father can work miracles and we are asking for a miracle for Phil.  We thank you Lord for the many blessings we receive from you daily.  Guide and direct the doctors and nurses as they care for Phil so that he may heal completely.
Bless and keep Carol as she waits for Phil to heal.  Give Carol strength to get through each of the upcoming days.  We ask all these things in Jesus' name.  Amen

Continued prayers for Phil. Can you tell us what exactly is wrong?

Talked to Carol this am and she thought Phil might be alittle stronger. They are going to reduce the amount of breathing that the ventilator is doing to make sure Phil continues to breathe some on his own. It is still a waiting game. The dr told us that it would be 5-7 days before we saw any type of noticeable improvement and we are about 1/2 way thru that time span. Keep Phil in your prayers for a complete recovery..

Well I didn't know if it was a Tracheotamy Ventilator or not.. Poor family. Prayers.

Can he Talk/Move? Or is he on full life support?

He is on a ventilator which keeps him from talking and they pretty much keep him knocked out all of the time. They have tried to let him wake up but he goes to fighting the tubes etc. so they are keeping him sedated. His speech is very slurred and he has a real hard time swallowing. I have not talked to the hospital today, probably will wait until mid afternoon before calling up there. Yesterday the drs thought he was alittle stronger but other than that we will just have to wait to see how the medication works to know much of anything as far as his recovery. Will try my best to keep you guys posted on his recovery. Please keep Phil and Carol in your daily prayers.

Just talked to Carol on the phone. She said the drs were telling her that Phil is stable but still in critical condition. Please continue your prayers. It will still be a few days before the medication and procedures start to take effect.
