any barrel races around the tyler area?

There is a practice and sometimes a jackpot on Wed. in Grand Saline @ the Monk Arena, they have these every Wed.!!!  Next Sat. 02/05/05 there is a $500 added at Ewell Service Club, that is about 9 miles north of Gilmer,  the books open @ 10:30, Open @ 1:30, Entry is 25.00 w/a one time $10.00 office fee. :)/\\

I believe they start at 6:30 they have exh. , then if there are enough, they generally have a jackpot after the exh.!!!   <COLOR GRIN> Checks your private messages, I sent you an e-mail address that can tell you more about monk. :)/\\

yes but the one time we went they must not of had to many riders because we got there about a hour after it started and they had already finished and turned the lights out

TX = monk's starts at 6:30 w/ pole exhibitions, and then moves into barrel exhibitions which usually take awhile. like shanda said, if there's enough interested they'll have a 3D after barrel exhibitions and the EF is usually $20 or $25.
it's a nice pen, ground is ALWAYS good. people are great!

and yes, the wheelers pen hasn't been used in awhile. nickey is doing some judging, and they haven't had any rodeos in years. i think a couple years ago someone rented it for a barrel race or something but that was the last i've heard.  too bad. that was always a nice outdoor pen.
