Well I have been very quiet for some time, yes I know almost a yr.   Many of you have asked how he is doing and tell me you miss my postings on him.    We are VERY EXCITED, life is not perfect but there is a HUGE Light at the end of the tunnel that we can see and the hill is not so steep anymore.

As you remember from Dec of last yr we were still using antibiotics and still riding a roller coaster.   I was taking him to have microcurrent therapy and cranial sacrum work in Waco along with taking him to the NP Dr Sconyers in Flower Mound and I added a NP Reflexologist in Ft Worth along with seeing Dr Stewart.   They all were helping but not at the rate I wanted.  I was not seeing the consistent improvement I was seeking (as usual).  The Reflexologist began to talk to us about Dr Jerry Tennant in Los Colinas and I bought his book and read it and it changed my life more.   We ended up taking Ben to see him and he said we needed to change his diet more and add some products to his supplement regimen.  His recommendations were Miracle Mineral Salt, Masaji and iodine and to take Benjamin off of antibiotics, and antivirals.  He said the Miracle Mineral Salt would take care of all of the bad stuff floating around in him (thats layman terms mind you).

So I began honing on his supplement regimen, his different energetic therapies; Dr Sconyers, Microcurrent, Reflexologist with Biomodulator and transducer.  He was noticeably improving in March, April and May.   We had dropped Dr Sconyers by April and were still using the Gluitothionine and Burbur (herb) that he recommended and had finally settled on a regimen of Reflexologist/biomodulator/transducer every week except the 6th week in which we went to the microcurrent and cranial lady in Waco.  When we accidently stumbled on this regimen things started rocking.   I began to remove more and more supplements.   Ben became able to pooh more on his own, I was able to remove one of his Mg supplements that helped him with that.

Remember I have altered diet more; correct fats in diet (butter, beef fat, olive oil, cocanut oil), increased water intake, Masaji (vits/enzymes), electricity (energetic medicine) and salt (Miracle Mineral Salt).   The 5 components that all cells must have to reproduce a healthy cell.

Now we have begun to see numbers in Bens tests at Dr Stewarts in his Acoustic Reflex, his Ipsilateral threashold is showing numbers in his right ear at 500 - 95, 1000 - 100, 2000- 100 and 4000-95, all throughout this yr.   This tells us the the inner ear villi are coming back to life.  I can see this in his every day actions.   He responds to commands quicker, more attention, more trying to talk to us etc etc etc.

Now as the yr has progressed I have gone from 30 plus pills a day in supplements with him to 7 pills a day in supplements plus in the last month I have totally dropped his herbs.   I have noticed that all of this has made Dr Stewarts supplements work even better.  That is primarialy what he is own besides the iodine and MMS.

Here is a list of things that probably arent very big to yall but are a HUGE 10 to us;
He gets in vehicles himself (opens door gets in)
reaches around and gets seatbelt and pulls it to be snapped
reaches back and closes car door
Goes in his room, opens his drawer with shorts, picks his own shorts, closes his drawer, then opens his shirt drawer, picks his own shirt, closes the drawer hands to us to help him.
He gets his own shoes and puts them on, requires very little assistance
When he comes in and doesnt close the door you holler at him (like any other teenager) Close the door! He goes back and closes the door.
Puts his dirty dishes in the sink, of course most of the time you have to tell him too like any other teenager
He is talking to you more, GREAT eye contact., but the big one

HE IS SOCIALISING WITH OTHER KIDS MORE!!!!!

We have had a couple of pool parties for him with kids his own age
He goes to town with his brother from time to time
Normally every Fri he goes with Kelly to her mothers house and has a blast, he loves Kellys' mother.
He wants to talk to everybody that comes into the house, adult, kid it doesnt matter.  Now what is so big about this is he never cared before.    Now, he wants to interact with everybody, before it was always a select few.   Mind you it is unlike other 15 yr olds skills but folks he is trying.   He is doing the best he can.
He is requesting stuff, words and signing out of the blue.
His rages have deminished significantly, you can reason with him now.

It is unreal, I am getting glimpses of this wonderful kid that I always knew he could be.

Dr Stewart talked with us about what we would be seeing in the next few months.   He said that our goal now was to get him to developmentally the age of 10, I dont know, I think he will go beyond that.   Time will tell.

Ben has been trying so hard to communicate lately that I went in search for a speech clinic that was using the iPad and the program Proloque2go as an AAC device for kids with disabilities and found one in Hurst.   They were the only clinic in our insurance that were recommended by the Proloque2go company.   So we went for an eval and Ben did great in just the time we were there.   Of course there were 7 adults in there with him, we were the first to request the iPad/Proloque2go in their clinic and they hadnt had it but about 2 weeks.   So I have been talking to everyone about it and they were excited that I might have found something to help him communicate more and today when we went to JFS in Ft Worth they donated an iPad to Ben and gave us $200 to buy the Proloque2go program for Ben.   It has been a glorious day.   I just bawled when they gave it to us.  We will get the program tomorrow and start teaching him to use it.   I cant wait for him to connect the "proverbial dots".  He is going to talk our ears off, what a beautiful sound that will be...........

irlucky I will let you know how it is going!!!!!!

Aut viam inveniam aut faciam - I will either find a way or make one.  "Can't lives on Won't street."

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

OK - you made me cry...

This is so wonderful for you guys and especially for Ben.  Please keep us all updated and let us share in the blessings.  May God continue to bless your family.

I want to share a encouraging story from a group that I have been helping some.

I have been learning about SpiritHorse group that has formed here in Liberty County.  It is absolutely wonderful what they have been doing there and what I also learned about some of the past 4-H drill team members.  One that I knew had some learning diffuculties when he started. Was struggling in his 'special classes' in Jr. High.  He rode drill team through High School.  This child went from bottom of his class and pretty much silent around everyone to the validitorian (sp?) of his class (regular classes) now in his 2nd year at Kingwood College and holds an office with Habitat for Humanity.  He is doing speeches and it is awesome.

From what I have been reading and hearing - the riding and rhythm of the horses (especially in counter-clockwise circles) helps develop an area of the brain for autistic people.

One of the ladies that works at our store - her son is attending lessons now - we have been excited watching his progress already and it has only been a month.

Ben and I actually got in an argument the other day. He got up and said Bed. I said are you sure you don't need to potty first he then said bed. He got up in bed and I said Ben go potty. He said bed. I said OK but if you pee in the bed you will have to deal with your mom in the morning. May not sound like much to y'all but it is to me.
This came to me while chopping wood the other day. You've heard don't sweat the small stuff. I say save it for later and use it for kindling

I knew you would keep trudging up that hill till you reached the top and I know it will come.  Then it will be all down hill from there.  You need to write a book on your journey to help others with children that suffer like Ben has.  I still remember holding him as a baby at Guthrie while you and your mom worked the videos. I also remember the wagon that he would lie in at Whichita Falls while you were working.  You have never given up and you need to share.
Love you guys very much.
