Looking for information
« on: March 11, 2015, 09:24:08 AM »
OK have new project at home, long story short, he is scared to death of cattle.  Been trying to find a couple of steers / calves etc to put in pen with him to desensaize him.  Tried lease companies they either require 8+ min at a time for 6 months min which is longer then needed.  With price of cattle even at auction house, leaving that to last resort.  Does anyone know or have resource to possibly rent a couple, would feed etc and think would only need max of 2 months.  Thanks!

If you have a neighbor that has cows it would be better if you get permission to go over and follow them around the pasture. He will get over it much more quickly that way. If he's as afraid as you say, he might go through the fence if you just turn one out with him. If you are riding him to give him some security and direction he'll have more confidence.

GOOD MORN'.  SELFIE IS RIGHT.  THE HORSE I HAVE NOW THOUGHT COWS THAT CAME TOWARD HIM WOULD EAT HIM, I GUESS, BECAUSE YOU'D BETTER HAVE YOUR HEAD SCREWED ON PRETTY GOOD, BECAUSE WHEN HE DID A SPIN, NOT A ROLLBACK, YOUR HEAD WOULD STILL BE GOING THE DIRECTION U WERE GOING.  IT TOOK SOME TIME, AT RODEO'S, MEN SLINGING ROPES, BRINGING THE CATTLE FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER, YOU'D BETTER HAVE A GOOD SEAT, BECAUSE U WOULD BE CHANGING DIRECTIONS.  AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF RODEOS & ALL THE STUFF THAT GOES ON, HE DECIDED THAT HE WASN'T GOING TO BE CONSUMED BY THE LITTLE GIANTS.  HA  YEP IF U COULD MAKE FRIENDS WITH A FELLA THAT IS RUNNING CATTLE, & TALK HIM INTO LETTING U CHECK THE BOVINES EVERY DAY, IT WOULDN'T BE LONG UNTIL YOUR PONY WOULD COME AROUND.  JUST HAVE A GOOD SEAT WHEN U START.   HA   WARS     ;D :D ;)
