$1200 settlement
« on: February 12, 2005, 10:51:37 AM »

After getting a $1200 settlement Delbert decided that he was going to have
something to show for his money so he goes to a auction for a pet shop
going out of Bussiness. First he sees a dog he likes but thinks something
better will come along. Then he sees a cat and think he wait for something
better. Then a snake then another dog then another dog. Finally all that's
left is a parrot Delbert has decided he's not going home without something
so he bids $20. Well out of the blue someone bids $25. Delbert isn't going
to be beat so he up's the bid to $50. The next bid is $100, Delbert then up
the bid to $200. Well the other bidder bids $500. Delbert gets into the
bidding and up's the bid to $600 thinking it can't go on much longer. But
the other bidder bids $900 Delbert is mad he's going to get this bird if it
takes his last dime and bids his last $1000. As soon as he does the
auctioneer says as fast as he can "going one twice three times sold" Delbert
goes to pay his $1000 and decides he wants to meet the other bidder. So he
pick up the parrot walks over to the auctioneer and asks him where the other
guy who was bidding was. The Auctioneer repleys " Your holding Him"
Aut viam inveniam aut faciam - I will either find a way or make one.  "Can't lives on Won't street."

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.
